Have a look at this, I've pulled it from the rig - does this sound rather unhealthy to you guys?

I think I need a new one! :c

-EDIT- It has been powering the blue font rig in my signature, folding at max for the last 2 months, that may not have helped!

Looks like the fan is catching on a wire to me. Try stopping the fan and seeing if the noise stops?

It could be worse, it could be a WinPower. Some of you may have seen me mention it before, but I have had two WinPower PSU's (not for any proper systems, just for testing old rubbish and slinging old parts together) and one caught fire while the system was still on. The other makes whining noises like a dieing cat, feels like its made out of tin, the cables look like theyre made of bell wire, and it rattles. :D

At least Powercool PSU's are trying to be half decent. :p

My PSU history... EZ Cool, WinPower, EZ Cool, WinPower, HEC, FSP, OCZ and now FINALLY a Seasonic (which I haven't tested yet. But its new) :D

Im hoping my new PSU will last a long while :)
My current OCZ (ModXstream Pro 700) has been going strong almost 24/7 for 2 years.

One of my EZ Cool PSU's has been going strong for 11 years. :p

Mine are still running too but I dare not use them on real hardware. One is very flaky and just can't handle 8 odd hard drives .... the odd drive would drop out with which I just got fed up with it.

If you love them so much you can have them if you want to pay the postage :D

I think i'm alright, I have PSU's coming out of my ears :p

Having recently "arrived" at a Seasonic (though only through Antec and a Seasonic built Corsair) I can vouch for the smug feeling self-satisfied reassurance they provide with their silence.
