Agreed, wcc do tend to get it right, so it all depends on price, the GTX 760 does not look to be any faster than the 7870 Tahiti LE, they can be had from £180, its certainly slower than a 7950.

Nope. I decided to get a really, really thin sound card to fit just above the top 770. It should fit.
as speculated earlier - they wont come in less than the 670`s , which have had a price cut.... so expect £240 or more , as £240 > £330 is a big jump , so I personally expect the gtx 760 to be around 259 maybe 269

I thought about doing 2 670's, but the prices were to high.
That would be shocking, even if it breaks the £200 mark by anything more than a few quid its to much.
That's assuming its slower than the GTX 670.

Nothing worse than waiting for official specs but if those specs are true for the 760 and that price is correct (300 euros), I would be jumping on those KFA2 670's. KFA2 are a UK company as well, so that should fill anyone buying them with a warm glow
Agreed and it would only be the 2.0 boost that would make it faster than a 670 and maybe not leave much room for overclocking (speculation of course).

Do you see the danger here for both Nvidia and AMD users?
I.E using lesser and lesser silicone and instead clocking the nuts off things to make them look good in reviews while leaving sweet FA in the tank.
If the AMD HD 8K slides are anything to go by that's all they are doing.
Mine runs at 975Mhz stock, I can get a 25% overclock out of it, easy. 30% if I hold my nose and pray, it just doesn't look as good as it can be on paper.
On AMD's slides its replacement looks identical, other than a 15% overclock already on it!

Of course. It is all about the guys who look at benchmarks and see that the 770 is top dog for the money they are prepared to spend and that is what they will buy and vice versa when the 7970GE was top dog. The likes of us are more clued up (or should be) and know that it is the same card but with a higher overclock. Nvidia released the 680 with a bigger base clock than they wanted in my opinion, just to beat the 7970. AMD respond by releasing the 7970GE (a bigger base clock) to take back the lead. Nvidia respond by releasing the 770 (ignoring Titan and the 780) with better optimizations and higher clocks to take back the lead.
I would hazard a guess that only 20% of PC users at most use forums to see what is what.
Hardware Canucks highlighted this with the GTX 600.
AMD have the same problem, This boost thing has introduced a mass of systems, they constantly monitor heat and power draw ecte....
I like it in one way, with vSync on it will down clock its self to as low as 300Mhz in menus provided its a solid 60FPS, that's a good thing.
But it will also down clock to 925Mhz if it goes above a set power draw, I have tested this, with +5% Power Line it will go a bit more before down clocking, +10% a bit more still.... ecte, I can get it to 1270Mhz in Heaven Valley @ +20% before it down clocks, not that I have ever completed a bench at that speed, the resulting lightshow sets my heart racing

So I don't know what to make of it, I also have a Gigabyte 7870, it does not do any of this, it has no boost, but that one BSOD if I push it to hard.

. I would get throttling if I didn't have a fan profile set, so to stop throttling, I set a 1:1 fan profile and my temps never hit 70c and this is with air cooling.You do come out with some random things....

Why is your mobo and titan's upside down Kaapstad?
I am glad you brought this it up.
Before I watercooled the cards I made a point of picking this particular case so that the cards were at the top of the case with good air flow around them to help in avoiding any possibility of them throttling.
Now they are on water it does not really matter where in the case they are.
