Show us your kitty cats

What you should do is buy the food in small quantities first, to see which flavours/brands your cats will actually eat.

The last thing you want is to spend £xxx on food and your cats don't want to eat it.

Yeah good point, does anyone here own a sphynx? My partner really likes them, but apparently they sweat a lot and it gets into your furniture etc with like a brown stain?

I'm really wanting a sphynx but I'm not sure I can convince my OH even though I've found a good breeder close to us :(

My research suggests that they're actually higher maintenance than your average cat. They do leave marks but bathing once a week should help this, they also need their ears and eyes cleaned every few days. They also need more food than the average cat as they burn a lot more calories.

I really, really want one!!

I think they're super cute, a lot of people dislike them because of the way they look, but i myself think they're adorable haha, yeah i think i read somewhere that you have to use a special shampoo on them, can't honestly remember what it was for, also read that your heating bills will be a little higher since they don't have fur they need to be a little warmer than most cats. When we got our siamese she came from a house that had a sphynx that had a funny foot (was born that way) and she used to play with him, really want another siamese or sphyx so my cat has a friend that she can play with and keep her company if i'm out.

So i placed my first order on Zooplus last night, can't wait for my cat to try some good quality food.

Bought the Animonda Carny Adult Mixed Saver Pack 12 x 400g

Animonda Carny is alright (better than all supermarket stuff) but be warned they did change their formula a while back and it has reduced in quality.
the same with NaturalInstinct - if your still buying that slopp (literally) dont!

Take a look at happykittycompany they do Macs, OmNomNom which are top of the tree German stuff for a similar price.

Really? what changed in the formula to cuase it to drop in quality?

Also Charlie really is a lion haha.

I no longer buy Natural Instinct, though this is because of its high cost and also my cats don't enjoy it enough to warrant the high cost. For the right price, I probably would buy it.

I use bog standard Whiskas wet food (to provide the nutrients/vitamins/minerals) and supplement with raw, human grade minced beef from Iceland. My cats enjoy/eat this mix. For me, raw meat is essential if you are after a heavily muscled cat.

I remember when I bought my first Bengal 5 years back. The breeder specifically told me that kittens fed raw meat, are definitely different to those brought up on basic commercially available food.

My new Bengal, was tiny when he arrived. After 3.5 weeks of eating raw beef, he is heavier than any of my previous kittens, at the same age. So there has been a serious growth spurt, since he arrived.

The highest quality ready made bone-in raw meat is, in my experience, rabbit:

I think pet owners need to experiment themselves, trying out different types of food and see which works best, for their own cats.

About a week ago i honestly didn't know you could give your cat raw minced beef,(i did read up before i got my cat but didn't see this anywhere) going to give her some along side the animonda carny that i've just bought, so i can just give her it straight out the packet providing its not frozen?

EDIT: How should i prepare the mince? Just slice it up it into little bits or just chop a bit off and put it in the bowl?
