*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

Amazed at the price on amazon. Kind of gutted that I just ordered a 4 day old nexus 4 for 215. Pretty tempted to sell on the nexus 4 and get the s4.

How much bigger/smaller does the s4 feel in the hand over the n4, and would this be a good idea?

I went from a Nexus 4 to the S4 and love it! Feels a little bigger than the N4 but its lighter and thinner so it actually feels smaller...if you know what i mean. Its very slim-line and lightweight

Personally I'm stunned! In around 6 months there will be a phone out that's faster then the phone I bought 2 months ago. I simply can't believe it...

The point was not that its a new faster phone but that it is the S4 but with an s800 rather than the s600 we have now and its mooted a bare 5 weeks after the s4 became available.

My point stands. Can't believe in 6 months a faster phone will be available. Kicking myself, I should have waited half a year so I had the fastest phone, no other devices would be on the horizon then either :(

Technically got mine for £430 a month ago, as so many others could have but where scared of O2...

What do you mean by technically, haven't you done it yet? If so how did it go, i've been waiting for the folk who planned on doing the o2 refresh cancel thing to see how it went for them, might come in handy if i want the Note 3.

I say technically as I then paid £8 for an unlock and also I kept the SIM a month, so paid £22 for that.

I wouldn't be surprised if it can be unlocked for less (or even free) I just couldn't be bothered and went the easy route.

I was almost annoyed I could cancel so easy (took less than 4 minutes) they didn't even ask why I wanted to cancel as I had something I wanted to moan to them about :)

To be fair, I now think of O2 in a better light, so even though I'm not paying them anything monthly now, there is a slightly better chance I may do so in the future...

We dont know when (if) the s800 will hit these shores. the s800 S4 is only being released because the s600/octa doesnt support LTE-Advanced, and naturally Samsung want to get in there with the LTE-A. Korea has been confirmed as the first and only region (so far) to get them (model numbers SHV-E330L,E330K,E330S). I would expect to see at least one network to have LTE-A up and running or to be close to doing so before we see a network release of the s800 S4. Currently none of the UK networks are even close. If this all happens in a reasonable timeframe and we see an s800 s4 here in the next year, say, then we might see the S800 but I would expect a price hike as well. If it takes longer than that for our networks to get LTE-A up and running, then we may well see the s4's successor first, which would probably make an s800 s4 release over here pointless.

Too early to get excited about.

As for wanting the fastest S4, should have got an i9500? :p

Hi Guys well I have joined the Galaxy S4 crew! I really like this phone, So what is an absolute must to put on or do with my new toy? :D:D:D:D

I'd say replace the stock launcher with Nova. Other than that, just your usual suite of apps that you use, really, so FB/whatsapp or whatever. Use it for a week or so and decide if there's anything else about the phone that you dont like/want to change. Then you can start looking at custom roms and such. You could do that now of course but better to use the phone for a while before delving in. Plus, you know, warranty and stuff lol.

in other news, I've been using this icon theme with nova for a while now. I think it's excellent and minimal without being dull and monotonous. It also gets a lot of support from the Dev who's constantly adding new icons. Take a look Stark Icon theme
