I received one of these helitape kits for my bike today

http://www.invisiframe.co.uk/?page_id=2552

I was a bit reluctant to spend the dosh, £60 seems like a lot for a large sheet of sticky plastic, but the amount of effort that's gone in looks quite substantial when you see the kit in person, there's quite a lot of individual pieces, when you consider a 2m x 100mm roll of tape costs at least £30, and won't cover the whole frame, it's nice to know that with some care and time you can cover the frame completely.

It should be nice for 6 months until it cracks again (and I get a Solo) :p

Err, http://www.biketart.com/76/products/biketape-invisible-frame-protection.aspx

7.5cm, 200cm is more than enough to cover any frame.

good luck fitting it all. I just tape up the main bikes, downtube and a couple of rear sections around the chain area etc. doing the whole bike will be a total pain in the rear but enjoy!:p:p

WOOT

" Hi Neil,

Just to confirm that your Sektor Solo Air 10+ has now arrived with us and is booked for work.

I see trouble ahead!!

Bike has been dispatched back to me - however a couple of issue I can see already!

Issue 1 - Wrong address - looks like it's going to my parents address which I got my original C456 sent to about 2 years ago - last 3 deliveries from On-one have come to my address so god knows how they have gone back to my parents address.

Issue 2 - Titus FTM Carbon Replacement Seatstay Gloss Black - that looks like the part they have replaced. However the replacement part is a plain black gloss part, with no coloured decals etc on it. So the decals/red colouring etc appears to be not on the replacement part. This bike will look a bit stupid if that's the case!

Will wait and see what, if anything, turns up and where tomorrow!!!

Bike tape doesn't cover the bits that really get damaged easily though, good for scuffs on the frame, but you're always going to damage your bike if you use it...

Even cheaper to just ride the thing and stop being a tart.

Don't be silly, why would you want to do that :D

I do jest about frame tape. I also tape my top tube, fork lowers and places where cables rub (side of headtube mostly). Other than that, what must happen must happen.

Plastic dipping sounds hilarious, who does that?!
