Be cheaper and more effective to have your frame plastic dipped.
anyone ever tried using those spray on plastidip paints or whatever they are called , you can just peel them off I used to use them to water proof my RC cars electrics when I was into that

might peel off stickers with it though when you pull it off unless you tape over them first

Don't really see the point myself...my bike is full of scratches now and could only see it worthwhile if I didn't like the colour of my bike.

Don't see the point going crazy to protect a MTB it's going to get scratched, you're going to crash it at somepoint. Some prevention is worth it but no point going crazy.

Just checking that you shouldn't mix SRAM shifter with Shimano rear derailuer and vice versa?

Rebuilding my C456 and trying to pick up some bits and bobs on the cheap.

Also going to give 1 x 10 a go - what are people running in terms of front ring size and cassette size?

generally yes shimano with shimano and sram with sram. a couple pages back theres a mod to make 10sp shimano rear derailleur work with a 9sp SRAM shifter. but thats irrelevant if you want 1x10.

But fine with a XT cassette and chain etc - just keep shifters and deraileurs the same basically.

its only something like £15 a can or used to be when I last bought it years ago

The price point doesn't bother me, I like the look of my bike don't see the point in covering it up.

As I said if you don't like the colour of your bike, it's a good cheap way to change it. But doing it for protection sake is a bit overkill.

Finally getting closer to getting my shan, spec all sorted just waiting on the frame and it getting built, so glad I decided to wait :D

Got some fox 36 floats ordered can't wait for them to arrive! :-D

bet they're costing a fair chunk! Frightening how much some bike parts cost.

Hope M4's turned up today, very nice looking brake. Shame im working away all weekend so wont have time to fit them and bed them in
