My 0.6 download finished after hours of waiting.. its the first time im trying foxhound so not sure what to expect (coming from Wanam), but so far everything seems to work fine. its fast.. there are some new mirrors available in the xda thread now if you are suffering with slow download speeds.
 
Is the octa core version the i9500? Is the octa core much better then the one in the i9505?

I'm wanting to buy sim free you see and I'm unsure which to go for.
 
go for 600 snappie and don't bother with octa, not that much over it :) couple of k in benchmarks and thats it.. plus snappie is better for developement so it will be more supported ;)
 
Is there the smearing black issue on FOXHOUND 0.6 in the settings menu? and task manager (go to the apps installed list).


The smearing was present on 0.5.
 
I'm using CM10.1 on a nightly from a few days ago and I finally got round to using the audio player on the train yesterday and there was awful crackling, is that a kernel thing?

Do you get it on the latest wanam? I might go back tbh.

they all allow you to install zips and wipe cache etc, which are the only things the vast majority of us use them for. For that reason id say close your eyes and pick one :p Although, i use philz just because it's a bit flashier lol


THe smearing issue will be present until somebody finds a way of keeping the pixels let. You can do with with screen adjuster but it means having an extra app running. Although the improvement is pretty large, it just isnt worth it. Dont know what it does for battery life either, havent tested that.

not if you are using AdamKernel 1.4, i believe. <1.4 was still based on older kernels (pre-MEA) but im using 1.4 (mf4-based) with foxhound 0.6 and no crackling here, so i would assume wanam would be fine also :)


just so people know, foxhound 0.6 comes with KT kernal as stock which doesnt support exFat, but other kernels can be flashed easily enough.

never fully understood the kernel thing so thanks for clearing that up, back to wanam I go!

I just really don't like the settings menu or contacts and I don't like exdialler.. hmmm
