Have you got another crab Ichabod? :p Only thing I can think of is spacers, but you still might get some contact during left hand corners depending on how flexeh the frame/cranks are.

Grizedale or gisburn this weekend?
assuming all goes to plan, I'll have my dh bike up and running, just want to take it for a spin, apparently hamsterly is a no go, I was told there is a race there this weekend, I've been to gisburn recently, theres a few mavity orientated sections (hope line, stuff up the back end of the 8) but I've been curious about grizedale, will it be worth the extra distance? Am I likely to find any trails more suited to the dh bike.

A job I always forget to do, wheel bearings. Just popped mine out and considering they haven't been looked at in about 4 years there not too bad, anyway sitting in degreaser for the night and a fresh lube tomorrow.
Also re filled my tyres, that Stans doesn't last very long before it clumps up, if it only lasts a few months again, im going back to tubes.

For 80p I just replaced mine.

Grizedales alright, nothing special though, if you can use a map theres loads of natural stuff up here.
Grizedale north face trail will take about 1 hour 20ish and doesn't have much downhill , seems to be mostly climbs.
The downhill route has a ******* climb to the top and take about 2 mins to get down.
I drive about 40 minutes to get there. Don't think i'd bother if i was much further away.

The only bits at Gisburn that'd be better on a dh bike than a xc one imo are currently closed off for repair work. If you find the Hope line suitable then the black at Grizedale is worth a look but it's a slog up to the start.

Cheers guys, neither are exactly ideal, but just want to give the bike a little shakedown, get a feel for it before I jump back in the deep end, but looks like gisburn is out the question, might as well have a nosey round grizedale, its only about 50-60 minute drive.

Any thoughts on how to resolve? I am going to try a few shims on the drive side see if that makes any difference.

Let me know how you get on.. I'm pretty sure that I tried shimming mine out a little but it only messed up other things like chain line.. my Atlas cranks are a little flexy! I took it too Skenes in Cardiff aswell and even they said it was damn close, just one of them things I think.

Hands off, it is mine :p

I'll take it to GT for you. Remind me though. My memory shocking.

FYI it's an M770 drive side and M760 none drive side. The uneven weight distribution is ideal for that Intense crab like ride that so many crave.

I'll be taking a load of tools. I can put your tyres for you too!
