I'll take it to GT for you. Remind me though. My memory shocking.

FYI it's an M770 drive side and M760 none drive side. The uneven weight distribution is ideal for that Intense crab like ride that so many crave.

I'll be taking a load of tools. I can put your tyres for you too!

Awesome one arm longer than the other too? That does remind me I put my front tyre on backwards so you can turn it around for me!

rebuilding my C456 and looking at some 2011 Rockshox Revelation RL U-turn Air - 2nd hand.

anyone run these before?

Ran 150mm rev's on it before but like the idea of the adjustable travel between 120mm and 150mm. the front did wander on climbs with 150 out front.

Look mint condition from pictures and already bought some stuff off the same guy and it was a pleasure to deal with.

Anything better for around £150-£180 price range. Looking at 120mm or so as minimum

Hi guys wandering if anyone can give me a bit of advice. Im looking to buy my first full suss bike. Im currently looking for a decent second hand deal and looking to spend up to about £1400.

I have seen a few for sale that I like the look of and seem to fit the bill.

Out of these bikes can anybody point out the pros/cons or differences between them.

Trek Fuel ex8 (2011)
Lapierre Zesty 214/314
Lapierre Spicy 316 (2010)

I will be riding trail centres as often as possible ideally.

Is it worth buying second hand or would I be better of buying a new bike? I love the look of the new 314. If there are significant benefits to buying new I would look at financing one. Do they let you pay a big deposit up front to get smaller monthly payments and do you get penalised if I wanted to pay off big chunks randomly?

Also I came across this http://www.decathlon.co.uk/rockrider-97-id_8231617.html but cant find anything about it really online?

I'd avoid buying second hand at 2-3 years old as there's a good chance pivots/bearings will be trashed and need replacing, along with the likelyhood of most of the transmission needing replacing, or at least being well worn. Basically you're taking a gamble on any moving parts.

A bit of common sense should see you through those pitfalls, go and see it before you buy etc.

I got my 2010 trek last year and it was only ridden a handful of times, checked it over and walked away with a bargain.

Lot of bike for the cash - that's where my money would be going.

Whilst 2nd hand can provide some bargins - a 2010 spicy would be more trouble than it's worth if it's been poorly maintained.

Otherwise - have a look around locally at some bike shops - go and ride some bikes.

Also what do you currently have in terms of bike and why the need to FS bike?

I bought a 2011 carrera fury last year but sold it soon to buy a road bike. As soon as I had bought it I wanted to up to a full susspension but decided to wait until now.

That bike looks nice, I hadn't considered Canyon. But that has got me looking at this https://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/bike.html?b=3034

Again I can't really find much info from owners or reviews?

It's a very different bike to the others.

Describe your riding preference and where you ride, then perhaps it wil be easier to recommend a bike.

Oh my goodness my frame is coming today :D

SWEET, is your order of cotton wool wrap coming too?

Balblair Black last night.
Great night for it, although the midges were out in force:

I had never really considered Canyon but looking at specs and recommendations they are pretty good bikes. Mr-White has a Nerve 9.0. Im waiting to take delivery of a Strive. I looked around for reviews and videos on youtube before buying.

Itchyballs;
Here's a picture or two of what I was on about with my Atlas Cranks and frame;

The little bit of flex when I first had her caused it to rub... seems ok now though (as in it's rubbed as much as it can).
