LOL fair enough, i saw the daily mirror bit and assumed it was from them but reading back it does mention the Times.

Anyhow have you lot signed Paulinho??, i heard the other day that Real are looking to pinch him from you:p.

Still waiting for Arsenal to tie up the Higuain deal, god knows why its taking so long. Real have appointed Ancelotti now so finalise the deal you ****s:p

SSN reporting that Arshavin has gone back to Zenit on a free transfer, shame he didnt last long in the team..will never forget his superb hattrick a few yrs back against Liverpool.

Id have preferred him over Gervinho in all honesty, think we will have to pay a team to take Gervinho off us:p:D

not yet. real are just being arses tbh. really displeased with how they've acted so far this window. poor form imo.

Tottenham target Paulinho has denied rumours he has an offer to join Real Madrid this summer.

The Corinthians midfielder once more showcased his abilities by scoring the winner in Brazil's Confederations Cup 2-1 semi-final win over Uruguay last night.

Spurs appear to be in the driving seat for his signature and are believed to have had an offer of around £17 million accepted.

Paulinho admitted earlier this week that he was honoured to be linked with a move to Tottenham, but the latest rumours suggest the north London club face a fight to keep their man out of the clutches of Real Madrid and Chelsea.

The 24-year-old confirmed he has an offer on the table from Spurs and no one else - and maintained that he would only make a decision over his future after the competition's final on June 30.

"It's not true about Real Madrid, the only offer that has come is from Tottenham," Paulinho told Terra. "But I have already said that I will only evaluate it after the Confederations Cup."

The box-to-box midfielder got the seal of approval from Chelsea defender David Luiz following his fine performance that helped set up a final appearance against either Spain or Italy last night.

note. that's from gms but i think it actually holds a lot of weight.

Isco is officially done. Where's is Biz?!?

Real Madrid and Malaga CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Francisco Roman Alarcon Isco, to be bound to the club the next five seasons. On Wednesday July 3 medical examination and will be presented at the Bernabeu.

I don't think 6mil is too much for him at all. He's a good goal scorer, think he'll score 15+ in all comps for you.

Well 11 goals doesn't really warrant a good goal scorer but maybe he will be better with more creative players around him. He lacked a lot of composure at Wigan, he's 29 too, 6m is a lot. May as well of got Le Fondre from Reading who scored more and would have been about 1m :p

Hahaha thats brilliant, i swear thats how i feel at times with Arsenal and their transfer dealings:p:D

Apparently Real are going to offer Higuain and cash for Bale  That would be ultimate trolling from Spurs if they did so :p

We've aslo been linking with a young French left back called Mendy, never heard of him. Again, take with a pinch of salt.

He was playing for Wigan! I didn't realise he was that old to be honest.

If that happens ie Spurs get Higuain then you will be reading in the papers next day that some guy went down to WHL, blew up the stadium then went on a killing spree and killed Bale, AVB and Adebarndoor just for the lulz:p:D

But dont be looking at me, i didnt do it honest guv:p

But we should troll Spurs hard, sign Paulinho, Villa and snatch Bale just for good measure:p:D

I heard that Sunderland got the jump on Mendy ahead of us, think it was in the Daily Fail so take it with a pinch of salt. Actually SSN now reporting that its a done deal with Sunderland and Mendy.

Id like us to sign another RB but i dont think that will happen as it seems pretty likely that Sagna will stick around for another year or so. If thats the case then i hope he has a better season next year otherwise Jenks should be starting...in fact Jenks should be starting anyways.

At least atpbx has his head screwed on RE: Rooney.

Frank, there was also a statistic that went along the lines (was about March or before) that in Rooneys last 28 consecutive (league) games he'd scored or assisted every time.

He's a massive contributor to our team and I don't think people understand what we'd lose.

Thats the nature of where he plays as much as anything though.

At his best I dont question that at all, but I dont honestly think we saw the best of him for majority of last season.

Kagawa may not have proved everything he can do (hopefully), and he has been critical of his own performances as it is - but with a better midfield (Thiago?) and with RvP ahead of him he is a ready made replacement.

Yeah, that must be it otherwise I would have known that the jpeg above had been circulated around Man Utd forums during the Sneijder saga, me being an avid reader of all news United after all.....
