As for the OPs concern about the probability of future PC ports I am of the opposite opinion. I think the next gen we will see not only more ports of games but also the ports will be of much much better quality.

Compared to the previous gen porting games to PC from the Xbox One or PS4 will be immensely easier, so easy in fact that it wouldn't really make sense to not port games to PC unless Sony or Microsoft are paying big bucks not to.

Not only are both consoles using x86-64 architecture (basically a PC) but the Xbox One is running on a heavily modified version of Windows 8...

I think PC gaming next gen is looking brighter then ever.

My PS3 is practically silent unless its loading a disk and even then thats only a little chirp-y sound.

I am not worried about ports I am worried there will be NO pc version or delayed release on pc like 6 months to 1 year later or simply not at all as we've seen over the 360 and ps3 lifespans.

Well it's based on what rockstar have said thus far pretty much everything they have said suggests they aren't even considering a release on pc.
I know I am right (gut instinct) I can smell all the publishers itching to delay the pc versions from here and it saddens me as currently all the games I want to play don't even have a pc version.

Some console games don't come to PC, some PC games don't come to some consoles, and then there are exclusives.

That's why many go out of their way to own all systems, because ultimately, if you love games and want to play everything, you have to. If you can't then you just have to deal with that.

I still remember how poor the GTA3 PC port was! I had a pretty decent setup back then but it hardly played GTA3 at all... To be fair GTA -VC made up for that.
