Quite liked the first ep some good actors as well (hank from breaking bad) could turn out to be really good.
Just watched the first episode myself and as others have said it will probably take a couple more episodes before people make their mind up about this. The general story line seems sound though I'm not sure how many series they can hope to get out of a Stephen King book?
Also:
- Deputy Linda Everett played by Natalie Martinez reminded me so much of Erica Cerra's character in A Town Called Eureka.
- The dude with the butterfly knife reminded me of Corin Nemic's character (Harold Lauder) from The Stand.
- And Samatha Mathis who I last saw in "Pump up the Volume" and "Broken Arrow" really hasn't aged well.
The part with the cow was pretty cool - and so were the effects with the vehicles crashing into The Dome. I'll give it a few more episodes before deciding whether to carry on watching though.![]()

This is badly written hammy acted crap...the exposition is for simpletons...
Watched ep 1just finished ep 2
Some of your posts come across as very very arrogant, sometimes unless someone points it out you wont know, but I know others have pointed it out so hey ho!
Come on....when the vicker kicks the bin and starts the fire lol just watch it again ...
Whatever you do, don't watch "Once Upon a Time" you might actually explode.
Nothing in "Once Upon a Time" matches the bin-kicking scene!
I read the book and wondered how long it would be before it gets turned into a series. I didnt really like the ending in the book so it will be interesting to see what they do in the series. Although couldnt help but think it reminded me of parts of The Mist in the later part of the book.
Notice Channel 5 have got it for the Autumn.
