US: Stephen Kings Under The Dome Series

Just watched the first episode myself and as others have said it will probably take a couple more episodes before people make their mind up about this. The general story line seems sound though I'm not sure how many series they can hope to get out of a Stephen King book?

Also:

The part with the cow was pretty cool - and so were the effects with the vehicles crashing into The Dome. I'll give it a few more episodes before deciding whether to carry on watching though. :)

That's because she was in A Town called Eureka.

The first ep seems good enough to stick with for now.... Some of that may be to do with Martinez's voice tho... Man that's nice :o :)

I'll reserve judgement till I've seen a few more episodes but the first one hasn't really grabbed me.

This particular one they want to stretch out beyond the novel but i'm sure there are a few a network could get 10 seasons outta. There was a number of years that King went on and on and on and on get to the point! with some of his books lol.

I managed to sit through the whole episode so it's looking like I'll stick with it. However, I'm a little disappointed we didn't see at least 1 idiot shoot at it, especially from the army side. I'm sure we'll see it eventually.

Episode two seemed to move things along nicely, planted lots of "seeds", it's watchable at least at the moment! You'll like Ep2 SPARC.

This is badly written hammy acted crap...the exposition is for simpletons...

Watched ep 1 just finished ep 2

Some of your posts come across as very very arrogant, sometimes unless someone points it out you wont know, but I know others have pointed it out so hey ho!

I teach tv and film studies...sorry but I can only observe narrative arcs, character and emotional response along with other codes and conventions of this genre.

This is no breaking bad... It's poor and badly edited ...take the hand in cow blood at the start of ep one...whole hand covered...2 seconds later it's not.... It's lazy and it's a shame...

Plot points are amplified for the audience ... It's god damn dreadful !

It means where all gonna die in here!

Police loosing the plot lol... Comedy...

I hope I haven't read this wrong , and this is a black comedy lol....

Yeah gotta agree, the concept/idea had/has great potential but in all honesty the first 2 episodes have been pretty weak and corny :-(

Doesn't help that I have just finished re-watching Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones on Blu Ray:p

That said I'm gonna stick with it for a few more episodes but unless it improves significantly I can see myself losing interest very quickly.

I read the book and wondered how long it would be before it gets turned into a series. I didnt really like the ending in the book so it will be interesting to see what they do in the series. Although couldnt help but think it reminded me of parts of The Mist in the later part of the book.

Notice Channel 5 have got it for the Autumn.

Nothing in "Once Upon a Time" matches the bin-kicking scene!

What about the way they can walk between kingdoms in an afternoon - through a forest no less, make camp and have food to eat when carrying nothing and seem to never take sentry duty when they are asleep in a dangerous land.
