I'm sure he will up his game for the first part of the season. But what formation you going to play with to fit him in?

I didnt think him and Moyes got on so I would be surprised if he could motivate him more than fergie could.

I've never rated him that highly so he would have never been on £250k. I would have sold him when RM were shouting out £70mplus a few years back.

I imagine we'll switch between 4-4-2 and 4-2-3-1 or variations of that, pretty much like last season.

So Moyes failing at the first hurdle, SAF would have kicked Rooney out by now?

Not really.

Rooney's issues have always appeared to be with SAF and not the club itself, to me at least.

All he's clearly stated is that he isn't for sale, which might not be the case, there was never a chance he was going to say anything about Rooney for certain. He'd also definitely not say he's openly for sale and get your offers in.

Edit:

No Thiago question but he made it clear he wouldn't talk about potential transfers. The wait goes on!

I thought it went very well overall though, mostly very good answers to the insufferable journalists. :p

But Rooney couldnt get into that side. Add thiago and he could be limited even more so.

Going to be an interesting season for Utd, new manager, very risky keeping an unhappy player. Even if his grief was with Fergie, he is still at the club despite not managing it.

I reckon Utd will keep him for another year, see how he does and then sell him next summer if he doesnt score goals. Unless RVP gets injured for a long period, highly unlikely as he seems to have gotten over his injuries...i cant see you guys needing Rooney any more.

On form he could, unquestionably.

That's up to Moyes to figure out.

Thats the problem I cant remember the last time I saw him on form. Time will tell, expensive time at that sort of money to wait and see though

Can't wait for the season to start despite not actually signing anyone yet other than Wengers normal injury plagued french kid lol

If Rooney does indeed stay I reckon he'll have a blinder next season, he tends to have a stellar season followed by a naff one so after last season we're due another good one :p

In Italy, there are a lot of roumors that City want Osvaldo if Negredo doesn't join (for about €20) and Arsenal/Tottenham want Pjanic for around €20M-€25M

What is being said in the English papers?

Sky saying he is in Madrid still didn't fly anywhere.

Ronaldo has also confirmed he is staying in Madrid.

LOL hilarious if true, just shows our inability to sign a player of quality. Was doing my usual daily fail reading and they said that it seems that Real may want to keep a hold of Higuain after all. Dont know if its Daily fail trolling Arsenal fans but id actually laugh if it was true :p.
