Tour de France 2013 *** Spoilers ***

I quite fancy Dan Martin for tomorrow. Think it'll be Rolland and some other KOM guys over the first big climb and they'll get swallowed up towards the end by a relentless pace driven by Sky, which will then become unsettled by attacks from J-Rod, Quintana, Contador, Valverde and from nowhere one of the Garmin guys will pop up and run away with it.

Or Sky might just drive their whole train over the final climb and it'll be a Froome-Porte 1-2.

Well if you undo this I've kinda got the whole weekend covered, almost :D

What a result!!!

Thought Froome was awsome yesterday, fingers crossed the rest of his sky buddies enjoy a day off and take it easy in the time trial etc to fully recover he can't go it alone everyday.

Quite a few guys are heading over from Guernsey to watch it, less than 2 hours on the Ferry to St Malo.

I didn't see the point in spending hundreds off pounds just to get a fly by of the peloton.

Im amazed that all the sprinters etc made it in the allotted time limit. Looking on the tour website it says they all came in 26' 20" down which seems hard to believe with the speed of the stage the likes of Porte were 18 minutes down.

The only rider disqulified due to being over the time limit was Sky's stalwart Vasili Kiryienka. Another suprise.

Dan Martin's effort is viewable on Garmin Connect:

Sub 5 hour century averaging 21mph with 13k+ ft of climbing and a top speed of 63.8mph

I think the top speed I've done on bicycle is around 48mph and I thought I was going to crash & die :D

Pretty epic. I've hit 54mph before but on a tri bike tucked up in to the aero position. I didn't dare move - if I'd have needed to brake (the descent flattened out) I'd have been in trouble :p.

Yea was going to say what happened there, only seen it once but he didnt look like he changed his line. Looked to me like he didnt got for the win as well? need to see more

Yeah, I've seen some already highlight that it was a deliberate attempt to block Cav to help Kittel win.

In the other replays it really looked like Cav went to get his shoulder in. But the slowmo angle ITV have just shown it appears he subtly drifts over into Cavs path.

He had to sit up really though because he wasn't going to win after that and I think he also probably thought he had brought down the whole Peleton.

Interesting interview on ITV with Cav there outside the team bus!

He briefly hinted that he clearly wasn't happy with how the team performed and it is something that needs to be discussed later. Certainly true when other teams seem to have their lead out trains up there, yet his have faded.

But then when somebody pressed him on the crash, he got annoyed, pushed an interviewer and took his tape recorder and went into the team bus!

Trust me to go and have my tea after the race. I hope they show that again on the highlights. :D
