Lost - Should I have finished it?

season 5 - Richard's backstory. Utterly triumphant television from start to finish.

Ab Aerterno I believe - My favourite episode!!!!

A bit of me died when Lost finished. Yeah it had gaping wide holes, but it was spectactuarly shot. Great characters and the soundtrack is just excellent.

Well worth investment I'd say.

I watched up to the bit where they went down an icy shaft on the island (i think the end of the penultimate season) and have yet to watch the final season. I intend to go back from the start at some point.

It definitely went downhill after season 3 for me, though I'll give it another shot as I want answers!

After watching the final episode i have completely tried to erase the whole series from my mind.
I suppose it would be okay for a marathon viewing to end the pain quickly.

Yeah, I'm another one who lost interest towards the end. I never watched the last season....keep telling myself I'll get around to it one day.

I have to say the first two seasons were absolutely brilliant. I've never seen a show that makes you crave the next episode so much.

Do not waste your life Ray!

BB x

Haha, don't worry I won't.

Not even 24?

Could someone just tell me the ending? In spoilers tag please.

Having partially watched it and enjoyed it you should consider yourself a lucky man. Some of us watched it right to the end and realised we'd just wasted the last 6 years of our lives waiting for answers.

jack dies on the island in about the same spot he woke up in s1e1 hurley becomes the new island protector, with ben as his helper, kate, sawyer and claire escape the island on a plane, years later after everyone has died (naturally or otherwise) they meet up in limbo with everyone else, kate looks hot in little black dress, then they all move onto the next phase of the afterlife

lost is quite possibly the best tv series i have ever seen. the ending was a let down but it was brilliant along the way. i've watched the whole series twice and will watch it again one time.

First season was amazing but from the second season onwards it became very obvious they had absolutely no idea where they were heading and it turned to crap pretty quick. Think it's one of those programs people start off loving then have to watch to see how it ends rather than watching it because it's any good. Not worth the effort imo.

interesting how most of the people saying its worth it watched it to the end, and most of the people who say its not worth it didn't.

exactly. the only story i used to *sigh* at when it became clear it was the episode base was jin and sun's. every other story, particularly sawyers, huhne and lockes were quite incredible viewing.

I really, really like it. An amazing journey and similar to Twin Peaks in regards to the reception of the last few episodes.

Not for everyone but you won't know until watch it all ;)

It's just utterly brilliant. I've seen it 6 times now and will definitely watch it again soon as I've now got them on blu-ray.

I remember watching the finale on Sky in the morning and then skipping school to watch it again. I thought it was a decent ending and I have no idea how they could have done it differently.

tbh i thought the ending to twin peaks was quite simply .......... genius

Plenty of people here who watched it to the end but who didn't like what Lost became.

I'm amazed that so many people think it didn't fall short of what it could have been. The script writing in the last few seasons we as woeful in places.

The one thing Lost did do well was to keep you hooked with the promise of an interesting story arc, but too often these failed to materialise. Many people just stuck with the last series because they'd invested so much time by then. But the writing and character development by that point wasn't even in the same ball park as series 1, with the exception of a few episodes.
