As title really.

Going in September on my R1 but want to learn the track.

I remember it being in GTR Evolution but is there anything else out there?

So I can use my G27 wheel with it.

Cheers

grand prix legend iirc

Oh and go careful :) took my scoob a few years back now and biker death rate was something stoopid like 1.5 a week, quite daunting coming over the brow of a hill to see a bus pootling along in front of you :D

A few games have tracks based on it but not sure how many actually have the full track anything like accurately enough to prepare for really doing it.

Is Shift 2 worth it, any good as a racing game?

Need something to do me until pCARS is more playable

I much preffered the first Shift game which has the ring on it too, theres nothing in the graphics either and in most cases i prefer Shift 1 for that too.

race07 tho might need a exp pack i cant remember.

Live4speed might have it i cant remember tho exactly. Also as someone said shift 2 has it i think.

Yeah Shift 1 is £4.49 on steam right now I cannot recommend this enough I loved it!

I played it with a G27 and it works very well, especially with the clutch and H shifter.

Shift's not a great sim, but 2's ok in the right car, and if you ignore the carnival junk added beside the track, the Nordschleife is pretty well represented. (FWIW Shift2 also has the best night racing experience I've ever had... very immersive if you ignore the car handling).

GT5 on the PS3 is the king of 'natural' depiction for me though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3mzZP1LgX8

There's a decent enough Nordschleife for rFactor1, but setting the sim up and tracking that down might be a pain in the backside. I know someone's working on converting it from GTREvo to rF2, and that might be pretty good to drive eventually, but thatls no use to you now.

Gran Tourism 4 on the PS2 was pretty accurate. You don't notice the elevation change like you do in real life.

my not watch youtube videos of people actually driving it surely someone has done a route and guide on there of the track.

why would anyone do a video game lap to prepare for that

Yeah had shift 1 on my ps3 was pretty decent, took the plunge and bought no. 2 anyway because it's cheap and I do like most racing games

GTR Evolution has the best version of it imo. Having done it in many games and real life. (Gran Turismo and Shift versions are pretty naff)

rFactor has the best one I've ever seen. It's an addon you can download from rFactor central.
It's been developed/improved on for quite a few years and includes about 8 variations of the track

(off the top of my head)

- Tourist Track
- Wet/Snow Track
- Short Track
- GT Track
- 24h Track
- GP Track

rFactor is a very close second for me, unless they overhauled it in the last 1 to 2 years.

I do enjoy thrashing it round the ring every now and then.

From a long time ago :p
