I suppose there is some merit in advising Thiago to stay with the club that is most similar to Spain's style, but I can't help thinking it's just typical anti-English sentiment that is quite common in Spain. Xavi is 33 now so perhaps Thiago would get more time anyway this season if he stays?

ie RVP going to Utd. He was in his last yr of his contract and had we stuck our ground then we would have lost him for nothing and he would have gone to Utd this season. Had he still had a few yrs on his contract we would have probably told him to stay put...similar to Rooney at Utd as they wont sell him as he still has 2 yrs to run on his contract. So wouldnt be surprised if Utd try and offload him next summer or perhaps come Jan time.
