*** Official Rugby League SLXVIII Thread ***

Websters is a very good player when fit. but he has been out for most of this season him and the beat would be an awesome pair.
True we coped with out chase before ... there are always players that will come in.
TBH Salford are not really splashing the cash its mainly all talk. Else why would Hull KR let dobson go to the NRL for free is the offer salford put in was good. Same with what I heard he offered for chase then he really doesnt have a clue.

Saints were there for the taking at the weekend shame we couldn't capitalize on it though having a ref that cant count is a bit bad lol.

Jake is a brilliant player. But, he was just as unreliable with shoulder injuries when he was with us and thats why we got rid of him in the end. On his day, he is great.

So, the new form of SL has been decided. Two leagues of 12, with promotion and relegation. Question is, which two teams get the boot from SL?

I'm hoping it will be fair and be the two that finish the bottom, that way everyone knows what's happening even if it is London and Salford but I'm guessing we will probably be out

Is 'we' Cas?

Cas always seem to be hard done by when it comes to the way they are treated by SL.

We is indeed Cas. Thanks Gilly we always seem to get the raw end of the deal ever since we didn't merge with wakey and fev to become calderford. Another brilliant idea from the rfl.

I really hope its the bottom two notated what but can't see it if its London or Catalan. I'm all for expansion but everyone should be treated the same. You'd never see it in any other sport where one team has different rules to the rest.
Anyways will have to wait to see what the master plan is

Can't see Catalan being down there, they're generally too strong at home.

London Salford would be very interesting.

Saint WHO?!?!?
Saint WHO?!?!?

Rovers 3 - 0 Saints for the season.

Awesome win, awesome atmosphere! Not a single song came from the Saints fans, it was dead as....well just dead! Didn't even stay till the end to clap their team off. Win lose or draw we always stay to clap our team off, even when getting beaten 84-0 or whatever it was.

Never looked like losing that, into the top 6 and won the last four! Such an awesome win. Saints fans friendly enough, but quiet!

i've not been following the saints long (just this year) but god they were awful that night. completely clueless

must say i enjoyed the hull derby at the magic weekend. i was sat in with the kr fans and you were robbed

Hehe they are always good games! Enjoyed it at Saints though, spoke to many Saints fans on the walk back to the car. Whats up with Sts this year? Missing a decent scrum half, Roby injured?

Welcome to the thread btw! The more rl fans ee can prise out of the woodwork on here the better. Good to have a good discussion unlike other popular rl forums...

No way will Catalan be in a struggle. Those wooden spoon days seem well and truly behind them. I actually quite like the fact that we have an away trip to the south of France every year too. I really aren't of the opinion that they don't deserve to be there and that its supposed to be an 'English' SL.

i started to watch this year. first game was leeds at home. i think the main problem is me. yet to see them win.

they seem to start slow and only play for one half.

big injury problems this year. never been able to pick a consistent side. seem to lack a decent kicker. not sold on nathan brown either

id love to see rangi chase at st helens. great player

As a HKR supporter, I'm well used to that!

Something that has plagued Rovers for the past few years but we seem to be having an alright time of it at the moment, although Ryan O'Hara has barely played over the whole 2 years he has been here. I doubt he will be here next season.

You are free to have him, I would imagine that Rovers won't ever go for him.

There can't be as much dropped ball in today's game as the games already played can there? It did look like torture for both teams yesterday, particularly in the last 20 minutes.

Friday's game wasn't a good advert for P&R (although I'm a supporter of it), as London disposed of Sheffield fairly comfortably. Some of the Sheffield players seemed visibly shocked at the hits they were getting early on. If they could get full time conditioning they would look the part though

Pretty exciting game Catalan v FC, but a pretty dull game today.

I don't know what was up with Huddersfield but it was just a non-contest.

That was an embarrassing display from Huddersfield. How they are 2nd in the league I will never know. Warrington never got out of second gear and I reckon if we had Myler playing we would have had a few more tries.

What made me laugh was the way Huddersfield celebrated a try at 44-12 down. If they had put as much effort into playing they might have faired better. It rounded of their performance with the last kick off from their last try. The winger just letting the ball bounce out for a Warrington scrum. Smith was laughing his head off.

Just hoping for a Widnes win tomorrow now ;)
