I've just cancelled my gym membership at 2 and a half years. It's a budget gym, very cheap for the area but it just became too overcrowded. Bicep boys taking up all the space and they've systematically been making the weights section smaller and machines area bigger. Anyway, I'm not here to moan.
Since I most certainly aren't going to stop training, I'm now going to grab some free weights to use at home. Saw some on Jungle River website (dunno if we can't mention that or something) and the price is fair. Don't really have a budget, I'll just buy what I need. One time cost anyway. So far I've got.
EZ bar
Dumbell bars
barbells to the tune of 50kg
two spinlocks for each bar.
2 x 15kg dumbells.
protective barbell pad (for squats, though it's going to be quite light squats due to not being able to drop the bar if needed - my floor will collapse)
20kg kettlebell
pushups stands (have them anyway).
what else? Or what on the list don't I need?
I've been paying £240 a year to go to my gym. Even if I spend that on equipment today, I'll be in profit in 13 months time!
