Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster

I have been thinking about this game today - when the fudge can we expect to see it?! do they realise the market it about to change in 4 months time! get on with it!

I don't think everyone's going to ditch their PS3s as soon as the next-gen hits :p I for one will be buying it regardless of when it comes out, and I'm sure there are enough people with this pre-ordered or who are planning to buy it to not make Square Enix panic or anything. Last I heard it was near completion (somewhere in the region of 80% for X and 65% for X-2 back in June) so hopefully it won't be too long :)
 
Im stuck with what to do I have this on my ps2 briefly into it and never finished it but the hd is out soonish so can't decide if to keep playing or buy this too hard to choose lol
 
I have an original sealed FF10 on my shelf because I am so cool.
I think it is an absolutely amazing game, only overshadowed by the FF7 guide I have sat next to it.

What a cracking series of games FF had in the 1990s-early2000s.

FFX-2 can take a long walk off a short pier though. It should not get a remake.

I never completed X, got stuck near the end. Is this is PS vita only?

Cracking games though, I still listen to the piano soundtrack album occasionally :)

Lightning Returns is next year as well, so the current-gen will still be around for a while yet.
 
I just read that Vita and PS3 will have cross-saves :D that is pretty god damm awesome. Now all they need to do is have cross-buy and I will be happy.

That said even if they don't I will buy the PS3 and Vita version. (Although I will most likely not buy X-2 !) Too much blitzball fun to be had in X to worry about playing X-2 :p

That is awesome! :D Has actually made my day. Was hoping I'd be able to carry on with my saves from the PS3 on my daily commute, so that is fantastic news.
 
Still got my copy of FFX and X-2, I have a save just before jecht and every now and then i'll i'll just keep farming, becoming more powerful, then eventually being too powerful and RULING THE WORLD...Then get my bottom handed to me by a dark aeon.
 
This was the worst FF for me since FF II. Loved the soundtrack for this game, but that was about it. Bland characters and too linear.

Now if they were to remake FF XII in HD, then sign me up.
 
I'm in two minds about all this HD remakes/remasters of games. I still have x and x-2 on the ps2 so for me its a bit of a spoiler that they are remaking it. Thou I do own ico/stotc and plan to get devil may cry and of course duck tales remakes, so I'm not sure if I'm for or against them.

it seems to me like the whole games industry is doing a lucasarts and reselling the same pony again and again. :rolleyes:

:O Seriously!?

12 was boring and linear! 10 was actually a really good game, the storyline is probably as good as 7 IMO

...haha, Now I do agree that 10 was the better game, But out of 12 and 10... How can you say that 12 was linear?! It was more of an open world than 10 :p

I sometimes think people have their blinkers on with regards to 10, I mean if you play 10 and 13, you'll notice both games are pretty much on the rails for a big period of the game. And its not until the calm lands that it opens up somewhat. Yet 13 got panned for this, and 10 is praised.

Aaaanyways, With regards to HD remakes, I'd love to see any and all of them remade if I'm honest :D

I loved running 12 on PC, it looked like Lost Odyssey, which considering 1 is 360 and the other PS2. It's quite impressive lol
