Wipe drive clean

I have sold my pc including hardrive.. its a sata ll western digital blue 640gb

I dont normally sell my drives but decided this one can go with pc...

Whats the best way of wiping it completly to properly aviod all my personal stuff being recovered?

best way is to long format the drive and fill it up(write unimportant data to it) as its harder to recover if its been written over

C Cleaner has a good drive wiper. You can opt for the 35 pass wipe if you want, though it takes a little time.

I use C Cleaner.. Didnt think of that.. dban you tube video someone stated a high pass wipe would take 48 hours..

Might kill my drive in this heat!! :confused:
