BMW and M Power Owners

Yesterday I got the dreaded steering lock failure on my e90, got out before work to grab a coffee came back to see a steering wheel with a padlock on the dash.... fortuantely after a few try's it unlocked and I was able to drive off, will have to keep and eye on that, hopefully if it fails it will be covered by the bmw warranty.

Also i've recently noticed my gearbox doing some odd things, occasionally when pulling off from a standstill at a junction it just doesnt want to go which can be a bit hairy at a roundabout etc when im trying to get a quick get away, then all hell breaks loose and it shoots off but it seems like an age before it wants to go, seems ok in sport but I find that quite jerky, does that sound like some kind of problem?

so i got bored and fancied another car and after a nice quarterly bonus I found myself with the cash, so i bought this after seeing rg-tom's photos I felt a need to scratch the gay bmw itch once more!

the bits you probably want to know - 3.0si 57 reg Manual, 65,000 miles, Metallic Silver. T Bi-xenons, heated seats, Sat Nav, Bluetooth, MFSW, pro audio etc.. etc..

pick it up on thursday, so should have bald tyres, scratches and macdonalds wrappers all over it by friday :)
Nice spec just shame about the colour combo... What was the damage on that?

So my expansion tank finally went pop the other evening! Luckily happened when I turned the engine off after parking at home. Got out and the car just started dumping coolant all over the road... add that to a full set of 4 PS3's and a new air con condenser, this is turning out to be the month for repairs!

TG recently drove the new 4 series, seems they liked it and say it's built perfectly for its target audience. Not a sports car but a sporty coupe that holds its own very well.

I really like the front angle view, looks mean and has a nice wide and low stance. Much nicer IMO than the C class coupe which really should have had a longer rear lid quarter.

Considering the 4 has lower suspension, it physically is lower and to me the wider track and bulkier bodykit and lines look a lot more masculine than the E9x.

Good news for me is hopfully this will bring down the E9x prices down a little bit more, even 10% would help !

Really want to get a 325/330i M convertible under £10k....

£9999, picked it up yesterday, its an awesome car, very impressed with the power yet economy from the engine

just ordered a mediabridge 1500 and a few other bits and pieces, still looking for excuses to drive it, aways the sign of a fairly good car :)

£10k for a 3.0Si? Bargain!
Looks great. Bet it goes like stink as well. Enjoy it :)

Following the thread I made recently regarding a new car for around £15k, I'm now looking at the 335D E92 due to the fact that my commute is going to increase significantly from September, a lot of which will be motorway.

I have a budget of up to £15k ideally.

What should I look out for in terms of potential issues/problems, and also which options should I particularly look for?

Any advice would be appreciated.

£15k is going to get you a pretty old 335d. I'm really not sure its worth the money. For a significant commute I'd want something more comfortable and less potentially complex and probably newer if my budget was £15k.
