How do you defeat the temptation of women - other than the wife?

You don't 'be a man', you be a decent bloody human being who loves and cares about his wife or girlfriend.

Are you sure an adult relationship is right for you?

This

Lots of women other than my wife are attractive, but none of them are my wife so their offers, (if there are any) are redundant. There is more to loving someone than simply how they look.

and this. :)

Resist of course

If you want to cheat on your other half, you're not worth being together. It's nothing about being a man - it's about not being a **** and being in an adult relationship/

You have time to have your jollies when single - do the right thing if you want to be with someone else, break up with them, don't go behind their backs - you're the highest form of scum in my eyes if you do that.

The one benefit of not being good looking is this is never a problem!

Think I'd get very confused if another woman showed interest - I'd probably think its a candid camera show or set up by my wife to test me.

What a low life.

Cheating is one of my cardinal hates in life. It's the scummiest of actions, with the maximum amount of damage to someone who invests their trust in you.

OP, please fall of a cliff.

Looking online, anywhere between 54% and 80% of women cheat on their partner, with 20% of the children in relationships not being those of what is believed to be the biological father in the relationship.

I would have a have a hard time believing 80%, but not so much 50%.
Statistics say then that half of the posters who have posted in this thread extolling the virtues of monogamy have a girlfriend/wife who's getting their jollies somewhere else.

Further to this, how many of you at some point have some point slept with a girl/ woman who whether you knew it or not was in a relationship at the time?

Off the top of my head 3 of the women I've been with more than once had a partner at the time, one of which I knew about.

I've never had an issue with not cheating on women.
I realise I am a man , I am in control.

A 5-8inch part of your body should not control you

Statistics say statistics are very rarely accurate because people choose where to poll based on there agenda or just flat out lie.

for example
99.9% of americans are racist. (if my poll size is 100 people and I go to wherever the KKK live)

That really isn't how statistics work as those posting about monogamy are self selecting.

Never.

Your maths is flawed there, but fair point ;)

0.1% of one guy had a few rogue genes ;)

50-80% of women cheat .I just camped outside the nightclubs in newcastle where all the easy women go and they were more than happy to help with my survey ;)

So a proportion of the women asked the question "have you had an affair" would choose to lie and say...... Yes?

Surely it would be the other way round with more saying no?

On a side note, having just asked the question to my wife, of the women she would class as being in her circle of friends, she reckons about half of them have confessed at some point to of played around.

I think it would be interesting to ask all your partners the same question.

Why think of blackjack when you can jack it to porn? Eventually, unless you have an awesome relationship, the "sex twice a day" thing becomes the "sex once a week" thing. Maybe that doesn't suit you, but it certainly shouldn't drive you to insert another woman.

He's implying that geordie girls cheat more so if you survey an audience that is more promiscuous you can get the survey results you want.

50/50 chance your missus has cheated on you then ;)
I think it says more about your missus circle of friends than anything else.

I know 100% my ex wife never cheated on me.
We've been split up for ages now and she hasn't even dated anyone since and I told her I have no problem watching the kids if she wants to go on a date or a night out anytime with her friends.

She never went out with them when we were together and she still doesn't now, shes not on facebook either so I know she never talked to any old friends or anything on there. we were always open wth our phones and never locked them because we knew everything about each other anyway and told each other everything.
we had no secrets.

if you don't have that type of relationship then maybe you haven't found the right one yet
