You (above) seem to be under the impression I think we'll get him - I don't, but I believe we're in negotiations at the moment so until that changes I can remain hopeful, and you can remain (quite clearly) very worried.

Arsenal fans are all secretly ****ting it that he will join United and that is the sole reason I want him to sign.

Someone earlier was talking about arrogant United fans that are convinced he will sign, I'm yet to read that from any United fan tbh, on here or on various other United forums

Whilst it would obviously be very nice, im not holding my breath. There are lots of other targets I'm sure, and Ive no doubt there will be at least 1 decent signing before the transfer window closes.

Bored or reading this thread hoping for genuine little inklings but only seeing page after page on why Falcao, Cavani and now Fabregas will all sign for this club or that.

Can't the Man U and Arsenal fans just have a thread for themselves for the time being?

That's the main thing that worries me. That clause was good and bad.

On the plus side, we had the benefit that any other club would have to beat our bid by quite a significant margin to be of any value to Barca.

On the other hand, Arsenal have a conniving, unscrupulous owner, who is only interested in money. All he will see is the potential to grab £20m of the transfer fee making Cesc's total transfer fees around £55m.

If Stan had any clue about what this means to the fans, he would realise that the smart option would be to bring him back for £25m. That way Barca have still paid Arsenal £10m for what is basically a 2 year loan.

But we all know what Silent Stan's about.........

Arsenal fans, could you point me to anything that states, as fact, that Arsenal will receive 50% of any transfer fee that Barcelona receive.

By that I mean, as United have now bid 30 million, does that mean Barcelona would only receive 15 million?

All I've heard about any clause Arsenal have is first refusal if they decide to sell, which I would imagine would be Barcelona ringing up Arsenal saying "United have bid 30 million, wanna match it?" Then being left to the player to decide who he joins of they do match the offer.

I would personally welcome spending 30 Million on Cesc with 15m going to The Arse because that would mean he has not joined......................................dayum

No one can state it as fact and neither can any of us prove it's not.

It makes sense to have that in there as he went cheap but that doesn't mean it is.

somebody told me today arsenal only get money if Barcelona sell cesc for less then they paid so if Barcelona sell him for more then they paid all arsenal get is bitterness.I have no idea about how true this
