You would think Arsenal fans of all people would know this. (Wait till Pique shoves a United shirt over his head)

I want him to sign so I can taste the sweet, sweet tears of Arsenal fans who seem to be more concerned about who United are signing than their own team.

It's more interesting to focus on other teams, they unlike us actually sign people lol

I don't think it's that I'm worried that you would get fab or will be crying over the thought of it. It's just your persistent denial of the obvious that is more frustrating. I can see the appeal of a big name signing like fab, especially with that being a weak area of the team but all signs point to disappointed utd fans.

Seems like you have all your eggs in one basket. Other than the fantasy signing of ronaldo (which I think you have more chance that fab) you only have rumours of bale and the nearer it gets to the end of the summer the less likely it will be spurs let him go.

But if you want to wait and see what happens, then fair enough but they should at least be a little more real with the price. £35m? For one of the best players in his position... £40m plus might increase yours chances to 5%

Who's denying that he might not sign?

I've not read one "We're getting Fab, have that!" post at all.

The only people I can see that are taking this all far too seriously are the Arsenal fans :D

I don't understand the 'lack of a brilliant squad'? Out of United's starting 11, the following would walk into any team in England:

David De Gea
Rio Ferdinand
Nemanja Vidic
Rafael da Silva
Michael Carrick
Shinji Kagawa
Wayne Rooney
Robin van Persie
Javier Hernandez

Admittedly Vidic isn't his former self and Kagawa is still a prospect, but the others are some of the best in the country. You could also put up an argument for Evra on his day (which doesn't happen much).

I'm sorry but the above walks all over Spurs, hence why we won the title and you didn't even finish in the top 4.

Add Fabregas, Garay and Baines = title winning squad.

I know a team in england Rooney can't get into the first eleven...Manchester utd :p

Out of those I would want vidic and rvp...others not much appeal

Lots of reports seem to be abound this morning saying both Soldado and Lisandro Lopez close to signing for Spurs, with pictures of Baldini talking to Soldado's agent. Fingers crossed.

Bale transfer surfaces again:

The front page of Madrid daily Marca features (not for the first time) Tottenham's Gareth Bale and the headline is 'Caliente, Caliente'. The hot, hot news is apparently that Bale has handed in a transfer request and that his agent Jonathan Barnett has already agreed terms with Real Madrid.

Urgh, screw the pursuit of Fabregas. Lets just go to a club we know will sell their best players. Arsenal, how much for Mr Wilshere?

It's pretty inevitable that Bale will go to Real.

It could well be this summer but I would like to think Bale would decide to stay for one more season to try and get Spurs into the CL.

Wouldn't be surprising if Real have agreed everything with Bale though making the transfer smooth next summer.

Can't see Bale leaving this summer - especially as both DL and AVB have categorically said so - Real being the likely destination in future (exactly when depends on how we get on this year I guess).

Levy won't want to sell him to a domestic rival so the price for Utd won't be the same as RM will get him for (think Modric deal) - I get the feeling Utd will have to offer something like 25% more than RM to get any deal done
