That is a dreadful looking thing. It looks like a Chinese fake. The proportions of that grille are all wrong, those weird jet engine look-a-like lights/air ducts are so out of place and those C/D/E "pillars" look messy.

Is that really the best they could do? It makes the Khan-modified RR Sport or Gemballa Cayenne look like things of beauty.

This is not what the new SUV will look like, the pictures are not out yet. The picture above is of the EXP 9F the original concept idea, which was meet with many mixed reviews by everyone.

Im certainly interested to see what changes they have made when they unveil the actual SUV as it will be sold, Like Dr who said Jobs and export can never be a bad thing.

I actually quite liked the concept...lets be honest, if they get this right they will sell like hot cakes in certain parts of the world.

They'll sell by the bucket loads, I imagine the Middle East and Far East are their primary concern now, like all other prestigious and not so prestigious manufacturers.

I wish I could afford a Bentley, a man can look quite 'correct' in one.

I quite like it with the exception of the out of proportion head lights. I would imagine it would sell well with a few minor style tweeks.

just be glad that you're not paying it! Petrol is probably one of the less significant costs to running a car like this.

No objection in principal, but they really made a dogs breakfast of this design (assuming that's what its going to look like- which it probably isnt').
That even makes Maserati's SUV look good.

I'm surprised it's taken them this long to be honest.
The luxury SUV market is dominated by the Range Rover which currently has no competition whatsoever from any other maker. Porsche tried with the Cayenne but failed get the point of a luxury SUV.

Don't overlook the G wagon. Yes its not as luxury as a RR, but same price range and target market (at least in the US and Middle East, which is where Bentley will be targeting for this thing).
The LR dealership in Dubai shifts more units than any other dealer Globally for the last few years, yet there are still huge numbers of G wagons on the road, mainly the AMG versions (including $300k G65s). So there is certainly a market for more luxo SUVs.
