Businesswoman's £80k Bentley is wrecked at car wash

Is 10 times the price an issue when you own a flashy car like that? A lot of good valets actually come to you, rather than being cheapo run of the mill foreign jobbies.

But why should you logically have to bother? I imagine the paint on a bentley isn't much different to run of the mill jobbies. And some of those places do a pretty good job. Why bother spending any more.

Hang on...

“The insurance company have been amazing and have paid out – but the owner of the car wash has refused to admit responsibility. Now they are having to take legal action against them.

Yet further on it says...

“The incident is now being treated as a civil matter between the car owner and carwash owner due to the many inconsistencies between the two accounts of what happened.”

so which is it?
Also whos insurance company?

inconsistencies of the two accounts? seems pretty clear cut xD woman leaves car at car wash.... returns and car is smashed and a big hole in the carwash wall... how could it not be the car washes fault, it was under their care xD

also my god! did they cover the car in mud after crashing it too?! looks like it's been in a rally!!!

It knocked the wall out of their building, i am having a wall knocked down right now at my house and believe me the dust is mental :)

Didn't the article say something about the company denying the person she gave the keys to was en employee? maybe that's what they mean by inconsistency.

Hmm Marketing exec for family company, mum bought her a Bentley for her birthday... wouldn't surprise me if she just flung the keys at the nearest peasant, screamed 'wash this' and off she went.

Usually people have a lot of money (and therefore nice cars) because they actually have a lot of sense.

Nope, more and more people are being born into wealth, its just people born into privilege like to tell themselves that the reason they have a good life is because of all their hard work.

Nepotism, it doesn't reward sense.

ahhh I did just glance over the article so could be why.

love that last statement thought xD

"you there, yes you....commoner.... here's a penny now wash my carriage" :D

Who takes an 80k Bently to a £4 car wash and leaves it there...

I was at a RR in London SW8 on Sunday, next door was a scabby scary looking £5 car wash place. I didnt pay much attention until i saw some fancy mk2 Jaguar pulling out, and then a DB5

Apparently theyve seen Enzos go through.

So just like any car, theyre all seen as a burden to their owners, £5 car wash is all theyll get

This place is literally 2 mins down the road from me and is always packed out with luxury cars. There's another car wash right next to Manchester fort which is extremely busy all the time, busier than the one above.

The other one by the fort is always full of luxury cars isn't it? You can even get your hair done and a spray tan whilst you wait. This is one reason why I always wait in the car they do it as I don't want some random driving my car even 5 foot. I always thought the Ferraris and Bentleys you see were owned by dodgy drug dealers though, although I wonder what it means when she is described as a 'businesswoman'. Marketing executive? Marketing the next legal high probably.

I never understand people who leave their cars with other people for a wash, MOT, etc. If it's expensive, it's always going to be driven around for a laugh.
