How often are people getting booster packs on steam?

I've had a few foils, but sold them all since I figured I would never pay or have any means to aquire the others to complete a set, but the free cash from selling them could buy many normal cards to go towards the normal badges

It is a good strategy by Valve, no mistaking that... but it sure does expose the really, really sad people that are out there!

I also think it would have been really nice if you could earn cards or badges by completing achievements in your games... you know something like 1 card per 10% of total achievements completed in that game or similar... Of course they can't do anything like that because of all the Steam users who already use "Steam Achievement Manager" to automatically unlock every single achievement for every game they own... (Don't even get me started on that - WTH is the point?!)

LvL 11 never seen a booster pack have a freind who made it to level 25, i really dont see the point in it all to be honest,

Achivements/Trophies and gamerscore i kinda get but this is just silly and based on how much money you want to spend on your e-penis as far as i can work out.

A friend of mine got a booster last week and a 50% off voucher for Europa Universalis III.

I've not had any, or any foils. Boo hiss.

I got a Meat boy pack yesterday, probably only been about a week since I was eligible, still waiting on others.

I had noticed, because i don't logout of steam often, you should make sure to relog once a week or less to make sure it triggers for you. It seems its only given on login.

I think I have managed to get one so far but tbh, any cards or in game items I get I just sell on the steam market and use that money to buy stuff that I want, so far I think I've made £15+ doing this. I'd prefer to have more games then to have a higher steam level haha

I've had one so far. It was a Walking Dead one. I dont know if its directly related or not, but it was shortly after I completly the level 1 badge for that game. Was level 11 or 12 at the time.
