***Official Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH, Z77X-UP5 TH and Z77X-UP7 discussion thread***

My OC has been fine up till yesterday. It has happened twice now when just sat idle.

Im getting “0x9C = QPI/VTT most likely, but increasing vcore has helped in some instances” Could I just need to adjust my offset.

cpu pll at 1.65v instead of 1.8v helps with above 4.5ghz,usually lets you use slightly less cpu voltage

cpu/vtt for the memory controller can be anywhere from stock 1.05v to 1.2v,stock is usually fine for 8gb,16gb you tend to need 1.10v

Could someone please point me in the direction
of the latest usb3 drivers for the UP4-TH board
running windows 7 64bit.
I am having all sorts of problems getting the usb3
to work reliably. It currently will mount usb3 keys
but not drives, doesn't matter whether the drives
are bus powered or have their own power supplies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently using the via and intel usb3 drivers
available on the UP4-TH product page:

http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4280#driver

I have up5th after awhile sometimes i'm getting unknown usb device and i would need to
shutdown the pc switch off by the mains

And switch on again and its fine i have the latest usb drivers etc

New firmware for GA-Z77X-UP5 TH? wtf bios F12j? I'm on F13a....why did they go backwards?

Edit: Never mind I got the answer off stasio. F12j is the proper bios. F13a was a experimental bios.

mine has gone back to not booting properly. Boots shuts down, reboots, shuts down, then on the 3rd go (think its the 3rd) it boots up.

flashed both main and backup bios's? or try doing a recovery from backup to main and reflash the bios

no issues at all with my up4

might wanna try disabling x.m.p and setup your ram speed/timings/dram voltage manually

ive seen x.m.p cause boot loops on another forum so worth a shot

Down graded my bios fom F13a to F12j, and Im having so many problems trying to get 4.4 OC. (Im not the best clocker, but its just not sticking (booting without a BSOD)).

My 4.4 on the F13a was fine. I may just go back to F13a.
