Indeed, might pay to lay some ground rules.

I'd suggest:

1. Always include in the post a link to your profile unless it is in your sig.

2. Always clearly state what you have available for trade and what you are after.

3. If an inventory link is used, state what is available for trade and what you are keeping etc. Also what you are after as well.

Steam uses the format [H] (Have) and [W] (Want) and that works well. Just a thought anyways, it might speed things up and make it a bit easier.
