He has 3 years on his deal. We can easily keep him for 1 then sell him. If we keep him and get Soldado....we COULD do very very well. Also he is our global brand at the moment, if we lost him we would lose an awful lot of money, not to mention EA, BT having spent a lot on him brand wise.

I don't think Bale to RM is a good move for himself but for Spurs the money and maybe players involved in the deal would be great for themselves.

bit on the bbc webby (sourced as from the sun) that madrid are offering £51m plus Angel Di Maria and Fabio Coentrao.

coentrao wouldn't be too bad but not sure i'd fancy di maria at spurs.

soldado is not in london. he's apparently doing some club/community work with the local kids. signing diploma's.

talk that postiga to valencia is done. hopefully this means the deal will be completed early this week.

It's just that all the Spurs fans talk him up as some kind of magical negotiator.

No. I see him as just balancing the book. We've been in financial trouble before. His job primarily is to make sure the don't go back there. I've got no problem but I'm a believer that when you make a decision, you stick by it. Changing his mind a week or so before the deadline would be disastrous.

If i was Spurs i'd happily take 80M for Bale, can purchase a few really good players with that sort of money. I hope they bag Soldado, he would be a interesting one to watch.

I think Spurs should cash in on Bale, if it reaches close to £100mill.

He isnt THAT good. 100 mill is way over the top for any football player.

Lets put it this way, Spurs would have to win the Champions league twice to make close to £100 mill and that aint gona happen so cashing in and or player exchange is good deal.

Keeping him and letting his contract run down, he will end up leaving for free.

he'll be a massive loss. his goals from last season were all very good, no real tap-ins (there is a karate kick though)

but i'd sell him for a £100m package too. even if he does sign a new deal, it's only delaying the inevitable. we have chadli, sig and holtby who i want to see progress and they wont if they're in bales shadow.

They'd have to win it twice to make £100m.

It's a bit rich though isn't it. Rogers expecting loyalty from one player while simultaneously sending another on loan without so much as telling him until it's time to board the plane?

Reina shares the same agent as Benitez. He'd have known Napoli were interested in him before Liverpool.

It's quite tedious, isn't it? Last summer we had Spurs fans on here praising his negotiating skills when they signed Dembele - all he done was pay the buyout clause in his deal.

Real Madrid, the most prestigious club side in the world. Also happen to be the richest without a so-called sugar daddy bankrolling everything.

They don't half mess around, when they want the best they get the best. If they get Bale La Liga is going to be fun.

Bale & Ronaldo vs Messi & Neymar.
