Been struggling recently, mainly because I have been sick and tired of buying direct from the UK for things such as Heads and they last 2 seconds or even being poor in the first place.

Looked for a basic beginners RSST and I have come up with the Smok Tech RSST does anyone have or had one and rate them? Also where would the cheapest UK Supplier be /or the China supplier (reputable) ones as I can't see them on Slowtech!

Also what tools would I need (Phillips Screwdriver?) also what wick/wire.. mesh/wire would I need to order and where from?

Also going to get myself a Vamo, Will more than likely be running in mini mode how long do the batts usually last vaping averagely ag 4Vs for example. Read abit about dodgy chargers but is the nitecore charger still dodgy from Fasttech would I be best ordering one from the UK?

Batteries.. Could some suggest which I purchase and also again would I be okay from Fasttech or better to buy from the UK.

Last of all, Whats the general care about charging and not allowing them to blow up :O as I have read at first glance through previous pages..

Thanks will appreciate any input and hopefully order today!!

What would it mean if this law came into play? Could I no longer by my 54mg pre mix nicotine liquid in the UK?

I have not done a lot of research on it but the impression I got is that ecigs will be regulated or prescribed... Similar to nicotine gum or something... eg. you can only buy certain types from pharmacies only and they are expensive. I expect the law will mean that you can no longer get any of these cool e-cigs that are about at the moment... Might be wrong though.

Smoktech RSST is a good "beginner's" Genesis, but I got along fine with the Aga T2 - once I'd got a 2.5mm drill bit to wrap my coils around.
Check my previous posts for links to the best Vamo kits on Fasttech.com, they come with a Nitecore charger which is excellent. You'll want 350 sized batteries for mini Mode, so check on Fasttech.com again for these - you'll want to pay more for decent, high mAh batteries ; it's not necessary to buy protected ones for the Vamo, but save yourself buying twice when you go for the inevitable mech mod upgrade and get them ;)

As for wick & mesh, www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com are who I use and have been great. Don't buy masses at first, I think they do a selection pack; varying grades of mesh & wire to try. Once you've discovered your perfect combination, then stock up! I'd also recommend trying a small piece of Stainless Steel rope (7x7 or 7x19), as this has been used as a wick with some great results .
As mentioned many times, YouTube is your friend. Pbusardo and Todd's ecig reviews have some clear & simple guides to follow . Both are actively involved on the larger Vaping forums.

Good luck on your journey, there's lots to learn; have patience and don't give up!

Also, once you've got a coil & wick working well, DON'T TOUCH IT! If it ain't broke, don't fix it; the cardinal rule of rebuildables! :p

Was just going to post that it would be nice to see the thread title restored as most of the others have. Just this and the 'Dags' thread left now....

This is all solid advice for anyone considering a rebuildable genesis-style atty. The vape mesh guys usually throw in a free sample of something else when you buy from them (I picked up some 0.4 ribbon kanthal for my RSST and got some 1mm silica as well, and my first A3 order of 400 mesh came with a second for free!).

0.3/0.4 ribbon kanthal are a good starting point, and 400 mesh is a good all-rounder for wick.

Always have a backup. I'm decided on getting an SVD so my vamo will be my backup from then on. Just sick of the centre pin issue. Only £25 from slowtech anyway.

I'm looking forwards to my mix maturing, but no French vanilla to add. I'm tempted to split some out and add a bit of graham cracker or caramel though!

I have an SVD but got the full kit that comes with the long tube. You can use just the short tube to accommodate all batteries but when you're using an 18650 in it, IMO it looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing with the long tube.

Still awaiting delivery on mine, should be here by the middle of next week with a bit of luck. From video reviews and such I've read, seems to be mostly the same as the Vamo in terms of operation... really want to get my Protank off the bloody eGo battery though :(

A good convenient feature of the SVD is the settings lock so if you stick it in your pocker or your bag, you won't suddenly start vaping at 15W which I have done a few times with the Vamo!

received my grants vanilla custard from C9V and have to admit I'm a little disappointed with the flavour. perhaps I've been spoiling myself with Papillons lovely (though bloody expensive) organic coffee but I was expecting better after hearing people whip themselves into a frenzy about it. lesson learnt. don't always believe the hype :)

I got mine today and I too was a little underwhelmed initially. It kinda reminds me of the smell of caramalised sugar, but at the moment I'm getting more of a burnt taste (not burnt as in a problem with my kit). I put it in about 10mins ago so I'll see if it improves for me over the course of the evening. It's by no means horrible, I keep wanting to vape more to put my finger on the exact taste!

I don't know how long they steep the GVC before they send it out but generally custard mixes start to taste their best at around 3-4 weeks after mixing.

I haven't fed for ages and the local is all out of o negative true blood

**** off back to the world of tanks thread aknor lol :p:D

afaik GVC is usually 3 weeks old whrn they are shipped, but to me Vanilla custard tastes best 5+ weeks
And Devrij, just try it in 5ml samples, dont want to ruin a big mix on a whim lol

Yeah I did see that, however I'm of the habit of turning my vamo off in my pocket so it doesn't accidentally misfire. Still useful though. Looking forward to playing with it at any rate :)

We really don't know how this will play out. Worse case is you'll not be able to buy anything on the market as stands. There is a good chance even if this does come into force it will be over ruled in court (there has been lots of cases over nicotine as a medicine and all courts have decided it isn't) I saw some TW bashing but they are likely to be the people putting up a lot of the money for case if this comes to pass. They did in the USA.

The way I see it is Government know they need tobacco tax money and the anti smoking lot know if enough people use ecigs their jobs would disappear.

If you are really interested Clive bates is a good place to get the facts. He is an expert in harm reduction and public health who is fighting on the vapers side.

ooh thanks Yas, looking forward to trying a Scope juice, thanks again mate :)

No probs mate, it isnt full as i did put a few drops into my tank when i first got it but as i said i just didnt like it all that much.

Its only a 10ml bottle so you should get a few tanks out of it depending on your set up.

Just ordered a raspberry from Simon myself today, 12mg nic in a 10ml bottle as im finding the 18mg of raspberry a bit too strong for my poor throat but i like it. So emailed him and he suggested i go to 12mg in a 10ml bottle and see how i get on with that. Such a helpful fellow Simon is, really does look after his customers.
