L4D 3

Yeh. Whatever you say...

No worse then Call of Duty 4.4 due out this year. No real worthwhile change since COD4, yet released every single year, though having said that I did enjoy the story line of Black Ops SP.

I reckon Valve may have released L4D2 a little soon, but there is enough in it to warrant a sequel, more so than the CoD and Fifa series' of games.

It's my opinion, that goes without saying. After Call of Duty 4, the series has become retarded, agreed. Hence why I haven't played a CoD game since 4. Just because it's "no worse" than the CoD series doesn't make it a good thing. :p

I think valve should have concentrated and released portal 2 before L4D2. Release L4D2 round about now. That means we would have some re-playability out of L4D and would be moving onto L4D2 now.

Didn't want to make a new thread, so I'll just bump this, if you look under descriptions you can clearly see they are working on L4D3 and Source engine 2 :)

Gabe has already confirmed that Source Engine 2 is in the works, so I presume this will be highly likely.

It might be in the works, but I wouldn't be expecting a release any time soon at all, probably way off.

This.

Too soon still anyway for L4D3, I can wait.

Played L4D2 for the first time in ages last night. Just coop normal with randoms...yes, I carried the team even with my lack of practice... :p

I think Coop is where it's at in the future. I may start getting back into L4D2, now to find a new team...

I was one of those who thought the release of L4D2 would be the worst decision Valve ever made. However, once I actually played it, it made perfect sense. The addition of the newer special infected was a good move.

I think Valve really needs to focus on the casual-competitive element of L4D, and sportsmanship. The problem:

- Rage quitters
- Getting severely lower ability players in ones team, dragging down performance of the team as a whole
- General uncompetitive games, with one team far outclassing the other.

Some measures I think would help:

- A cooldown similar to CSGO, but applying to ALL vs game modes.
- A rep system
- Matchmaking based on past performance (whether individual or team performance, I don’t know)
- Better bot AI
- Further restrictions/controls on vote-kicking

it'll be another ragefest just like l4d2, full of the same griefing douchebags, and probably have the same changes that were supposed to balance the game to fix it (like charger hitbox becoming about 1mm thick so you roll off everyone, or the smoker tongue going for the guy in the distance you didn't ****ing aim for).

i think i'll give it a miss
