I do wish though you could leave games without getting punished some times. At the same time i realise why you cant but when you have most of the team raging at you, and even more so when you know they are way off, i'd quite happily lose the LP and forfeit the game as id rather just play another but obviously you get the time bans etc.

I'm kind of torn in games like that though because you get dogs abuse but then they expect you to help them in TF's and stuff.

Try setting team and opponents to ignore on chat. I think the commands on the first post or google it. You're still get the pings but no chat I think you will find it will improve your experience. You may want to post a message to everyone just advising at the start chat is off :)

Be interested if that works, pretty sure it will

What lane do you play? And explain why they are raging at you?

Wanting to leave a game or wanting a feature that allows you to leave a game paints the picture that you are making some bad plays or feeding unintentionally. Especially if most of the team is raging at you. And I am guessing you are playing ranked? I suggest you stay clear of ranked until you are good enough to play as it seems that you obviously are not. Regardless you have mixed emotions to wether you should help you team out or not. Sorry to say this but I hate players like yourself with your selfish thinking. If they are raging at you or not, the game is a team game and you should be helping out regardless and playing your own game. Certainly not quitting and letting four other people lose LP because you quit regardless if they were raging at you or not. If you listen to the flames it will mess up your state of mind which 90% of the time will cause you to lose your lane.

I've played numerous games as a jungler where they've been calling me all names under the sun as I didn't gank there lane, only to turn the game around and carry the whole team. I tend to ignore the crap in chat and just try and get my team to focus on teamplay.

Do yourself a favor and learn to ignore flames, don't flame back and I'm not saying that you do this but don't leave/afk games see them out til the end.

Yes, as soon as you are spending more time typing/reading then playing, it is best to just mute everyone and communicate through pings.

You can do this by click the little icon to the left of each player on the scoreboard(tab).

Its been about a year, so i thought i would check back in with LoL to see how its going. Particularly because of the release of the OSX client, which, err, they officially dropped while I was playing? Thats some classic Riot there. I am aware the product has continued to grow commercially and is a fairly recognised international brand.

Its good to see they finally invested in some server architecture so no more login queues.

But other than that, not much has changed. No more to say really, the faults and flaws that degrade this game to 'not worth my time' are still there, and the community still borrowed from the comments section of any youtube video - hostile, unwelcoming and just plain douche bags.

Whilst not the best player by any stretch of the imagination i'll happily admit when i play bad or make stupid mistakes and yeah sometimes the team will rage and while its hardly helping matters i'll admit i mucked up but then who doesnt make mistakes with a missed ulti or the likes.

The game in question started with the ADC who i know fine well was bad and was nothing to do with me but i wouldnt call someone out about it. While im placing wards he decides to all in himself then thats my fault, surely youd simply wait but then what you get is one guys starts flaming then because the team is losing everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Why would my nami support have anything to do with the fact we lost every single lane, but seemingly they need to vent and had the perfect opportunity.

You hate players like me....ive never left a game since i started LOL so put your toys back in the pram. Its a simple discussion and one where i wished there was a method to leave people like this in the lurch but there isnt. Even your reasoning makes no sense, in one sentence you say its a team game, and you cant leave but wouldnt that apply to a toxic team who dont like the fact they are losing so start flaming others in the team for no good reason.

If the four other guys didnt want to lose LP they should keep their mouths shut. Simple as that.

Im hardly saying its something to lose sleep over, just that in some cases these guys dont deserve to have the person they are flaming continue to play.

The funny thing being that if they were as good as they seem to think they are, what are they doing in bronze.

You get raged at as support as much as any role (maybe less than jungler).

They are just venting their frustration at being bad, nothing you can do about.

I got raged at for not healing an ashe when they dove a tower, I had gone back and I was halfway to lane!

I just ignore them.

Think its about time to give this mute button a go then.

Dont get me wrong the game i was on about is a pretty much a one off. Although you often get someone receiving some rage, the extent that happened in that game ive probably only came across once or twice in all the games ive had so im not trying to say it happens all the time.

One thing that seems quite weird and not really what i would have expected is that in pretty much every single game ive had, if you look the teams up on LOLNexus, everyone has a 50% win rate or very close to it. Dont think ive ever came across anyone with a great deal of one over the other

Basically don't say anything in chat unless its: GGWP, GJ or WP.

Ignore the flamers and look on your game as if you watching someone else where you cannot see the chat, and think what should I be doing to win.

If you have a 50/50 win/loss rate then you are the level that you are supposed to be at. If you can maintain around 10-20 more wins then loses you should be climbing steadily.

I thought the consensus is though that you get more points for a win than a loss if your MMR is higher. I mean ive got the same 50/50 that everyone else i play with/against seem to have but managed to climb with that. Only to Bz2 mind you but still, if you get more points for a win than a loss youll still climb a bit surely?

The reason why I said I hate players like you is that you are wanting a way out of the game if you are being flamed. You'd rather end it and have four other people lose LP because of you quitting than tough it out and ignore the chat.

it happens quite often in a lot of ranked games I play in Bronze. and boy its really frustrating that you are having a great game and one guy goes afk or doesn't join. All that hard work getting those wins and LP only for one person to ruin it by afking/leaving just because a) they didn't get there lane pick b) they were being flamed, c)its dinner time

Now I don't know you personally but I bet you're an alright fella, so don't take the above as criticsm, just know your actions affect more than one player if you do decide to leave/afk a game.

If you can't hack the flames don't play ranked. Above all ignore them.

P.S. Always report toxic players after the game has ended.

I played a game the other day where we loaded into champ select, I called mid, picked nidalee and locked in. So after I had picked and locked, about 30 seconds later after all other roles had been called and pickedapart from supp, another guy on my team picks orianna and locks in without saying a word. I ask this guy where he was going, and he replies mid. So I said 'Dude, I called mid, waited and then locked' to which he replies 'STFU YOU ARE BORING ME'.

So not to cause an argument, I changed my masteries and rune page to a support based page (as best I can for Nida which I never play supp) and go bot. At the end of the game I got flamed by the ADC and mid player for not doing anything even though I healed the ADC whenever he took damage, warded well (they never had a succesful gank during laning phase) and kept jungle warded as best I could and didn't farm the lane. He even had the cheek to say Nida wasn't a good support...... Even when you try and be the good guy, you still get flamed to hell. Best thing to do as said is just ignore it, play to your best and try to improve where you know you can otherwise you can end up on a slipeery slope towards a ban!

Well after a while from taking a break from this i am currently gettin back into ranked (brnz 2) i have found myself playing a lot of support and i really enjoys it, coudl you help me ith some good champ choices. i was doing my promo games and first match i played was 3v5...safe to say we lost and the next was a feeder going solo all the time. my first match i got flamed cos there wasnt enough wards and the other team cleaing mine all the time, love it how people think its just me who needs to ward and not the ful team.

I love a good old argument with people on LoL.

I love a good old bait off.

if you can't beat teh carry argue with her so that she stops playing and your team wins suprising how easy it is.

especially when they call you bad and you appear and destroy them whilst they type hawr hawr,

Anything that removes control of the champion (and of course, Silence) is probably a better description. So stuns, knock-ups, charms, taunts, etc. Does the Lee Sin kick interrupt it? I know he sends them flying but I can't remember if it stuns too. Would be hilarious on a Nunu ult :p

One of my mates accidentally headbutt (Ali) a Kennen mid-ult just before he Zhonya'd into a bunch of us recently. Not entirely the same thing as Kennen's ulti isn't a channelled move, but the consequences are equally as hilarious.

Hi all,

I have only started playing LoL this week, currently at level 6. I have been playing Ashe but decided to buy another champion. I only had enough IP for a 1350 champion and settled on Sion as he seemed quite good however his stun attack doesn't last long enough for me to attack the enemy champs enough to do serious damage without them running away.

Any tips or should I stick with Ashe and aim to get someone else (any tips on who to get?)

At the moment just play the free champs, enjoy the game and if you find a champ that appeals then think of getting it. Try and save your IP - there was a debate whether level 1 runes were worth the cash - your call, it will give you a bit of an advantage but otherwise try and save your IP as I think you need around 20k of IP to fill one rune page when you get to level 20 and tier 3 runes

But chill - don't pay to much attention to us in here as the game changes as you get higher up.
