450 IP champs are actually pretty good, when I first started playing the game I assumed 450 IP champs were in fact rubbish :D.

You can get Ryze, Kayle and Jax for 450 IP. Borderline OP champs.

At the moment just play the free champs, enjoy the game and if you find a champ that appeals then think of getting it. Try and save your IP - there was a debate whether level 1 runes were worth the cash - your call, it will give you a bit of an advantage but otherwise try and save your IP as I think you need around 20k of IP to fill one rune page when you get to level 20 and tier 3 runes

But chill - don't pay to much attention to us in here as the game changes as you get higher up.

Except you can't fill a rune page when you hit level 20 because you're still missing 1/3 of the runes and 1 of the Quints. I really see no reason not to use them, adding to them as you go from level 1 to 19 costs you like 50-100 IP per level if you pick up a couple and when you're picking up the game you need every advantage you can get.

I have about 200 normal wins, but I am having problems now playing jungle. I will get crap loads of kills, maybe a couple of deaths. But I just find it hard to carry the game.
Will it be much easier if I find someone to duoQ with?
Also in SoloQ as a jungler, should I give a lot of kills to my laners or should I just try and carry myself?
In the last 10 games, 8/10 of the games I have being really fed. but only won 4/10. Kind of annoying.

Depends what type of jungler you're playing, if you're playing a tanky support jungler then letting them take the kills is preferred but if you're playing a carry jungler then taking a few kills is good.

Really enjoying the new Yi after the initial "omg can't believe they ruined him!" phase. Changed from AP to AD, more of an Akali type of build; Ravenous Hydra, Blade Of the Ruined King, Graves, Phantom Dancer, Infinity Edge, Trinity was my last build.

Yep they essentially tried to nerf him but somehow actually buff'd him. I think riot should listen to its users a lot more :)

The Ghostblade Reset doesn't help things!

Haven't been using it with my build, though I have seen a few guides which recommend it. I tend to go for AD, Attack Speed and Crit with the new Yi. He's a bit squishy, but he's also been squishy.

His meditate has also been nerfed, so life steal is now completely necessarry.

I'm thinking of potentially playing again and MAYBE looking to do ranked. I've played up to gold level as a support so ideally would like a duo lane partner, my previous partner was amazing and even if we were losing hard was able to carry hard. Currently Silver 2 due to inactivity, would prob want to play a hour or 2 every night ( live stream another game now and got a fair few followers so have to mix it up )

I've been away for a while so would want to do a few weeks of normals, I can play any position though should we/I be last pick and to a decent level especially my Vladamir!

CJ Blaze vs KT Bullets is being rerun on
in 30-35 mins time for those who didn't get to watch it.

KT Bullets won, blind pick game 5 :D

The majority of junglers can't carry games, simply based on their skillsets, instead they allow you to dominate lanes by feeding others. If you are playing someone like Nautilus or Maokai, you should avoid taking kills.

If you want to carry personally as a junger you need to be playing a champion capable of carrying, like Vi, Master Yi or Elise. Alternatively you can play champions like Malphite or Amumu who carry in teamfights.

In low level games (Broze/Silver), Vi is probably the most broken Jungler in the game.

Decided that after around ~200 games of predominantly playing Jungle that I want to try some other roles. My previous 2nd role if I weren't able to jungle was support but I want to learn to carry games playing solo laners. Just played 2 games with Malphite and won them both, going 2/0/5 and then 4/0/15, and I'm really enjoying it. Need to sharpen up my mechanics a bit though and my last hitting, i.e in the second game the Udyr all inned me at level 1 with Tiger stance and ignite, completely misinterpreted the amount of damage he was able to do, but then I remembered that early on in the game Udyr can pretty much out trade anybody 1v1. This put me at 100hp and by 6 mins in I was down 30 cs. Still didn't manage to die to him though despite having such a massive deficit with him forcing me out of lane and I got kills roaming!

agree and disagree

amumu and malphite are 1 banned too much in low elo and 2 far too easy to predict and beat in silver 3 2 1 and above.

j4 is the king of bronze. but you have to give the kills to your team only kill you should get is stealing buffs from their jungle. if not j4 then a good hecarim but it still requires a ADC with a brain. bronze is determined by how dumb your lanes are doesn't matter which jungle you are if your lanes are A. too scared to initiate. 2. too slow to react 3 retarded 4 can't stop face checking brush even with the map lit up like a christmas tree.

I find J4 has the most positive impact on games with bronzey's becuase you can choose not to steal kills and you can provide much needed cc in ganks.

meanwhile after a string of bad games I'm back in silver 5 but my smurf is nearly in silver 1 sigh,

If you really want to carry as a jungler, I'd personally suggest playing Evelynn, Elise or Nocturne.

Evelynn because you get easy kills, Nocturne just because he's good and Elise because you don't really need to build damage on her and you'll still be dealing a ton of damage.

Lee Sin is another one, he's mechanically very intense though. So it's quite hard to be really good with him.

I have just signed up to this and played my first game :), the game was ok, despite not really knowing what to buy ect ect, I was playing as Jax and enjoyed it! I won and lead the final charge :).

However, the less said about some of the other players on my team the better haha. Foaming at the mouth in erage.

I'm in the same boat, not played many games but enjoying it. Currently level 7 and doing ok so far. However, I am constantly finding that I am playing with people who go afk or quit early and so it makes it impossible to win games (although it can be close!). Is the teaming up with people you know only for ranked games or can it be unranked too?

If anyone wants to team up let me know, my character name is TheSlinkie.

Read yourselves some guides on your chosen champions when you find one you like. This will give you build set, runes, which powers to level up first etc; Lots available around on the net :)

Played with my friend last night playing my Troll crank, my team and the enemy team were like "Best Blitzcrank I've ever seen." Was really nice, to be fair I played well, stole blue solo level 1, forced mid flash level 1, made some epic plays, just a shame the AD had a 2-3 second lag so didn't really do anything all game :(
