Of course the all knowing Fox is correct.

Although I've gone for the 5 door as the Mrs and I are planning to have a kid soon. Added quite a few extras on top of the S-line trim.

Besides our standards maybe different.

Ive never owned a new car. I set out to get something comfortable, nippy, safe and relatively nice looking. I feel I achieved what I was after.

Sorry its not a Range Rover..
 
Why are you sorry that it is not a Range Rover? If you are genuinely sorry, then why didnt you buy one?

Because it seems I have offended you with my choice. So much that you felt the need to post a sarcy reply commenting on my decision to buy an Audi and my glee at finally getting a job that would allow me to buy a new car.
 
Why would i be offended at what car you choose to buy with your money? :p I couldn't care less!

I just think its a crappy car given that you have landed a dream job and clearly had money to spend :)

I'm glad you couldn't because I'll be driving the car round, not you.

Thanks for your opinion but not once did I state what my budget was. You obviously have much higher expectations of a dream job than I do. I tend to take a more realistic approach.

Its a job that pays me a lot more than my old one, allows me to get my first new car and will allow me and my fiancee to build a stable, comfortable life together. That's my dream.
 
We can quite accurately estimate the budget, given that it is a new A3 of which we know the specification :p Fox correctly guessed what it was before you even posted it!
 
Our minds clearly think so differently that the answer would have no relevance. I cannot relate to the mindset that would buy that car, given that you could literally buy anything. It just doesnt work for me on any level :(
