win promo lose promo win promo lose promo.

I swear I get the easiest fights out of promo and the biggest idiots in promo.

I'm not flaming i just mean the daftness. just won a promo game vs 3 supports. the promo before that I lost because my team just couldn't initiate a fight. The one before that I narrowly won and the one before that I lost because I had team argue. but out of promos i win easy back into promos i don't get it.

anyway won my first one this time have to win 1 of 2 and i'm back into silver 4 lol won't play drunk next time haha

Currently at lvl 30 but want to get into ranked games but want to find a team that communicates, although ironically, first I need to get myself my own headset

EDIT: If anyone wants to add me who's high 30's/30 lvl but hasn't even done any ranked matches send me a friend req if you'd like to start :) Name - Noobishabbz

EDIT again - Usually play ADC with Cait/Vayne/Ashe, sometimes Solo top with WW, and I HATE, Annie.

Your league placement has zero bearing on your skill or quality. Its the games played that does.

Someone with sub 1000 ranked games imo is not a quality player in the slightest, more often that not they still make the stupidest mistakes, never buy wards, never look at the minimap, fail to engage at the correct times, fail to disengage at the appropriate point, follow those stupid high elo guides on mobafire bc they cant think for themselves etc etc.

I think once youv lost and won a fair amount in ranked and start to understand what your doing wrong and correct it then you become a decent player - regardless of rank and with that you start to climb.

all this talk about hyper carries etc to get out of bronze is rubbish , you just need to play and learn and adapt. Not only do you help yourself , you help your team aswell - thats what gets you out of the lower leagues nothing else.

Well dang, I thought i was a pretty decent player with only 150ish ranked games and sitting in Gold 3 :(
At least, i think that's how many I have played roughly this season (at work and can't check Lolking or similar)


Unless you mean 1000 games (ranked/draft pick/blind pick) in total as once in game they're all played exactly the same way :p

I currently play on my laptop with a notebook mouse. I am getting a new mouse but am currently looking for a keyboard to play with too. The keyboard on my laptop isn't the best and I am getting tired of jumping into the middle of some champs with aatrox, and going to town on them with his ultimate only to die and realise his ultimate never went off even though I pressed the key!

I want to get a tenkeyless keyboard to save space since the laptop has a largish footprint, is it worth going mechanical (I had a blackwidow when I played sc2 and liked it) or is it overkill for lol, the apm for lol is a lot lower than sc2 so a normal keyboard might be ok but I can't find a tenkeyless one that isn't laptop style.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I think a mechanical is slightly overboard for LoL :p

I have a Microsoft SideWinder X4 that I picked up a while back. Not noticed anything advantageous over a £5 unbranded one.

Though that doesn't help you as you want a smaller size one

Google "vendio esports equipment" and you'll find a chinese seller who sells all sorts of mechanical keyboards you can't get over here. Look at brands like Noppoo and PLU especially. I have a Noppoo Choc Mini and it's fantastic. Only £60 and I sold my £120 Filco when I got it because the quality is just as good, it's just a lot smaller.

And don't worry about the seller, he is certainly trustworthy. He's a big name in the mechanical keyboard community. The only other alternative if you don't want to order from China is the CM Storm Quickfire. There's a few models but I'm pretty sure they do a tenkeyless for around £70-£80.

So may make a new group of players who aren't all in ranked or don't mind playing with noobs.

The tools are all there for you to use them. You have a mumble server at your disposal, a chat channel in lol. However you do need to work at finding and creating a group of like minded people. Our group has no issue with the level of play but you do need to be on mumble and a lot of the times we tend to be full for a game but it will ease of over the summer months.

Thanks for that, I was aware of the mini choc keyboards when researching for my black widow. From your experience, what was the delivery time and did you get stung on customs charges?
 
Cheers guys - Having some real problems at the moment. When I'm joining a game it won't let me select any champions and it says I don't own any. I'm having to leave the game and restart which is causing long waiting times as it thinks I've abandoned games...
 
I've never experienced that before Tom_D. If it persists, it might be worth just sending a ticket to riot support detailing what happens.

In terms of easy characters to play, I would say Annie as well. She can be fun to play, and can be strong too.
Another character who I enjoyed at early levels was Teemo. You will have fun shrooming (Ultimate) everywhere. Most people hate Teemo though, and may ridicule you lol.

I don't know if i've missed it already, but there is an ingame channel for people to gather called 'ocuk'. Doesn't always get utilised, but you can get lots of people added to your friends list who also gather there.

And you can invite people in games, whilst in the lobby right click on the person and invite to game so you don't even need to friend people. :)
