If you're going to vape on a plane, it's a good idea to do it discreetly and stealth vape so that no vapour is exhaled.

What makes the Orion so expensive ? I like the look of it seems small compact which is something I'm looking for.

I tried a few of these disposable e-cigs and deffo seems the way forward over normal cigs. So wanted to invest in something better rather than buying loads of disposable e-cigs :p But all these starter kits seem to look huge !

Is the Orion really worth the investment ? they are like £230....

if you have lots of disposable money and you want one then treat yourself. I get by fine with a vamo which cost me about £15. I dont have much spare income.

I found it cost about £75 to get setup for a few months. Thats an SVD, Protank, protank heads, e-liquid, batteries, battery charger and plug adapter.

Then it's just a couple of quid a week on e-liquid and heads unless you rewick your own.

just wait till you get there to avoid a potential huge fine and possible imprisonment.

It's not actually smoking so no laws breached, might just **** the airline off a bit. But stealth vaping is the way to go however as it dissipates so quickly they'd have a hard time proving anything other than smoke alarm malfunction.

I found out why my vape thing was bubbling. Somehow some liquid had got between the atomizer and the battery, so this was the bubbling...cleaned it all out and it's fine again...

Jaffa - a good habit to get into is cleaning threads/connections on the device and tank every time you remove it. Tissue is your friend!

Yes, a can of IPA is always handy!! I normally just wipe down with a tissue and use IPA once in a while to clean everything; batteries, charger connections, devices, tank connections etc.

I've gone through more tissue since starting vaping than the average spotty teenager.

Coming from disposables I don't fancy shelling out £230 for something :p Was just curious as to why the Orion's are so expensive.

Been looking around and have been looking at eGo-T 650 mAh Starter Kit which seems a good starter kit I found at £30. I'm still trying to get my head around all the terminology. It says it comes with:

2 x Normal Tank Atomizer
2 x 650 mAh batteries
5 x Tank Cartridges
USB charger etc..

So er what is an Atomizer ? (sounds like something that could destroy the earth lol) and Tank cartridges. If I buy Juice where to I put that ?

Lastly is that kit something worth starting with ? all these custom jobs you guys are doing is well over my head for the time being.

Sorry if this has all been answered in this thread but damm there is a lot of pages to sift through :(

Hi Adsta
the Atomizer is basically a tank in which u put your juice and when u press a button on your battery it atomizes the juice into vaper.
There are different types, most beginners kits will have clearomisers (clearos)in them (a clear tank).
On some like the CE4, CE5 etc, u can fill from the top by pulling/unscrewing the mouth piece. These have a top coil and u can see the cotton wick hanging inside the tank.
On bottom coil clearos, u have to unscrew the bottom to fill them.
Have a look on youtube for CE5/stardust clearomiser review, or for a bottom coil clearo try searching for Evod review.
A 650mAh battery should last you most of the day, so its nice to have a spare battery as they can take upto 3hrs to recharge.
Its a pretty good kit and reasonably priced. Have u got a link just so we can ahve a look?
Also here is another good starter kit, its an Evod kit for £29 + postage.
Kit Contents
2 x EVOD Manual battery (Constant output voltage:3.7v; Capacity:650mAh)
2 x EVOD 1.5ml Clearomizers (Resistance:2.5ohm)
5 x Bottom Coil Heads (Resistance:2.5ohm)
1 x 500mA eGo Fast USB Charger
1 x Uk wall plug adapter
1 x User Manual
1 x gift box

also here is a good video explaining all the terminology, kits etc...

I started with 650mah eGo style batteries, which are a handy size, granted. However, for beginners I'd personally recommend at least 900mah. That little bit more can mean the difference between making it through the day or caving for the inexperienced vapist :p Currently on 1100mah batts, incontinently long tbh, wouldn't mind something sorter and wider

Another note, I'd avoid 500mA "fast chargers". I think most battery vendors recommend using normal 420mA chargers, it can prolong the life of the battery (albeit by probably a tiny amount).

Lastly, I think cartomisers are the best choice for beginners tbh, something like Boge standard resistance cartomisers or Smok Mega Dual Coil cartomisers for more kick. Don't get me wrong j.col, yours is sound advice too ;)

Adsta, I started with tanks (different to clearomisers and somewhat redundant now) and when I finally stumbled onto cartomisers I never bothered with tanks again. At the time, rebuilding and buying separate heads cheaply wasn't quite as mainstream as it is now. The tanks were expensive (relatively) and I had no end of problems. Some would last weeks, some days. Then there was leaking and dry burns :p

Cartomisers are cheap, flavour is generally good (though there are bad cartos) and chucking a £1-£1.50 device after a week isn't as bad as chucking a £10 device after a few days :p This is mostly moot now as I don't buy from Totally Wicked any more, they are a rip off tbh, and I don't use their tank atomisers. CE5/Stardust clearos are rebuildable, not too expensive and rewickable. I've found the CE5 to be good, not exceptional. A bit fragile and a couple of mine have become wonky and prone to leaking. Flavour can be a bit hit and miss too, depending upon juice

If you want to get involved in the hobby, clearos are a good choice. If you just want to see if vaping is for you, cartos are a good option - use til flavour/vapour falls off and bin

Just IMO, getting into vaping is confusing enough as it is :p

Hope that made sense
