Is this drive any good? I'm hovering over the buy button but want to make sure I don't waste my money :)

A nice sturdy little drive and even comes with a 3.5" adapter. I purcchased one and did a quick install test and setup with Windows 8 Preview yesterday and had no issue installing both hardware and software profiles. It is very fast at booting up and seems just as quick in write mode. Rather than give you an iops speed test I just put it through the Windows Experience test on Windows 8 and it logged 8.7, the same as my Ram. So its like accessing Ram and not a Hard Disk.

Thanks for the response however my Samsung 840 EVO just arrived :D

Let us know how you find it works for you. The thing about the HyperX was that it came with a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter including screws. It is as advertised a Solid Alluminium finish and a good solid design. The top even feeds out to shape like an X. Also slightly more heavier than all my other SSD's.
My OCZ and Crucial SSD's look and feel light this feels more substantial than I expected.
