Nvidia GTX 670 or 760?

I dunno teppic, you make it sound like it's going to be as hungry as Crysis 3 :)

It's the first game with the new engine so for the highest possible settings I'm sure they're going to use everything they can from the current high end cards. I'd be quite a bit disappointed if you can max out settings on a 7970!

Cripples is a bit strong. I think on high settings there'll be no issue at all, and maybe ultra settings with AA off. Bioshock Infinite with a 7970 on ultra with FXAA gets just above 60fps 1080p, and that's not being launched with a new GPU or based on a brand new engine.

Yeah it won't be that bad. All our current gpu's 670/680 7950/7970 will be able to run it on ultra without any AA smoothly i reckon.

Well, AMD's bundled Crysis 3 and Tomb Raider, which don't exactly run well on a 7950 at max settings. I wouldn't be surprised if they say that high settings in BF4 is a similar experience to ultra in BF3, and if you want high performance at ultra with a next gen engine you need the latest GPUs.

Well if I'm right I expect you all to say I'm amazing. If I'm wrong, I'll just say someone hacked my account and posted this stuff :)

I saw leaked benches on un optimized drivers so i know you're wrong. :D

The smart man backs the LT, as always.

Leaked shmeaked ;) The game could have changed a lot since then. Maybe they'd disabled the fancy stuff.

(This thread has gone off on a bit of tangent from 670/760 choice hasn't it?)

For good BF4 performance you should get an AMD card. There's little to no chance you'll manage decent FPS at ultra on a single GPU, but you never know.

such failure, BF4 optimised @ launch for AMD cards, week later Nvidia brings out drivers and bam sorted. Its very easy (and will continue to be so for a while) to run Ultra on a single GPU (AMD or Nvidia)!

You're kidding yourself if you think the game will perform equally well on nvidia cards a week later.

As for ultra, BF4 isn't BF3.

I don't believe this will be true. It will perform fine on Nvidia cards and ill be amazed if it doesn't. I don't believe we will see the Tomb Raider - Nvidia experience again.

The only thing that could swing things the AMD way is if they get that DirectCompute effects into the game.

Lol!!
