Are you happy with your job?

I think I know what I want to do, but there's always that little bit of doubt in my mind, which is making it a little hard to actually start doing anything about it. I think it might ultimately be worth taking the risk, but I'm not usually a big risk-taker. :p

If I find exactly what I want to do, this would be how I feel as well. I think something needs to just happen and you go for it.

Another "love my job" here.

Challenging, unpredictable, high pay, loads of time off and no taking work home with me.

Work in IT. Tried for years getting my foot in the door. Finally got in on a Jr's wage after dropping a good bit of salary, but i get to do what i actually like all day.

So yep.

Very happy I might say!

In my 1st year, and 1st job in my field, so very challenging, some travelling, very good and knowledgeable people in my department and generally in the company, so get along very good! The pay is very good, some perks when travelling and some corporate discounts here and there, so 9.5/10!!!
The only reason it is not a 10/10 is because I am new, some people ignore me when I send emails.:p

I was up until about a fortnight ago when they decided to dump South West London on me. I hate driving in London, that part sucks.

Some ups and downs at mine. Getting a bit hacked off at being called graduate all the time. I've been in industry for 6 years now and about to get CEng.

Whilst I'm not unhappy in my own job, sometimes you know when it's time to either move on or at least move to something fresh within the same place.

If you're not feeling challenged then you will ultimately lose motivation, which won't be good for your career in general. Sometimes it can be found by just approaching what you do differentky / with a fresh perspective but it can just be a sign that you don't quite fit the profile so to speak.

I'm about there now - still it's hard to complain, I work for a company that on the whole treats its' employees fantastically (though those who have never been anywhere else can't see this) and is likely to be here for a long, long time.

I'd say I'm quite happy. The travelling annoys me (central London) but there's only 2 of us in our department (company of ~120) so you never feel useless. I also get on well with co-workers, which is a huge part of any job, despite being much younger than them. The role is still very new to me so still challenging, but achievable.

Perks are also awesome (and all free); constant stock of soft drinks (fruit and cans of pop), bacon sandwich every week, when it's really hot they hire a Mr Whippy machine for us to use, constant supply of fresh fruit, and beer every Friday :D

I love my job.
The money is crap, the hours are bad, I get assaulted, I have to wear a uniform, I get covered in blood, puke, urine and faeces.
But I'd never do anything else.

Uhm, sort of. Working at a gym right now, it's not the worst thing I could be doing at my age but I'm not in love with it; atleast not at this place. I'm hoping it picks up. There's much better things I could be doing but hopefully I have them to come!

I get the impression you're some sort of bouncer or security... but...faeces and urine? :|

my little summer job? Nope and this may sound so snobby but all I can think is I'm so much better than this. But it is a summer job so it's not permanent. Motivates me for university too.

i'd say i am and i'm not. had a great oppertunity to create and run my own service line 4 years ago. got it all up and running, and have seen it flourish. however it's time to move on now and move out and spread my wings. Apparenlty I have a very large bag of tools, i just want to start using them :)
