Does anyone know when a rare/legendary/set item drop at which point is the stats for the item is determined.

Are the stats determined straight away when the item drops or are the stats determined when you identify the item.

I reason why I ask is that say you pick up an item at nv=0 and therefore MF is low, the stats maybe be low due to the MF. But if the stats is determined when you identify the item you can effective pick up all items and wait until they your MF is higher before identifying?

I want to play this game, but every time I boot it up I just have no motivation to play. I've got a level 60 hardcore monk and 60 monk, barb, DH and WD on softcore... Any suggestions on what I could do to make it feel like less of a chore to play?

get your wife/partner involved! My Mrs is hooked on this and now has a paragon 26 monk and rising!

It's a tonne of fun both of you sitting at computers chatting away, especially when you rub it in when you get a legendary!

Unfortunately I think the percentage of people on here who have girlfriends who like gaming is very very low lol.

Haha, indeed. I used to have friends that I played with but they've either moved on from the game or just didn't like it.

doing events is profitable now, 25k exp per completed event. I like ripping through act 1 MP1 now, but I have terrible drops throughout. Not one legendary, unlike Act3 which has been much better for me. But saying that since the patch I've had nothing decent :D
 
Tried playing a bit more but I just don't get any drops worth anything so can't upgrade my barb anymore. 500-600% magic find and the drop rate seem to be even worse since the new patch
 
Found potentially one of the best shenlong fist of legend in the game. Currently at 210 million with nearly a day left, considering how cheap gold is now it's doing well!
