So yep

One german website twists his words and says its a PS4 exclusive and the whole internet lights up with it.

Shame this AMD Market Manager Marc Diana doesnt have twitter.

I wouldn't say that just yet. Apparently this a respectable tech website in Germany who are usually good with this kind of stuff.

Also a few people on neogaf have dug up the leaked XB1 specs from ages ago (The VGleaks ones that were all correct) and looking at the specs on there it actually confirms that huma WOULDN'T be possible.

I've got a feeling we won't ever get to the bottom of this

So anyway yeah, back to the live show at 5pm. Most people are expecting/hoping for an official release date? Do we know how long this thing is going to go on for?

They most likely both use HUMA, I don't understand why AMD would do it for one and not the other.

This is what annoys me. The majority of the **** going about is just some made up rumour. They're not that different, so they won't miss something like this off one console.

I suppose we'll know for sure about a week from release, until then, there is a lot of speculation and manipulated quotes to dodge.

Well, I have no idea what to make of this:
EA said:
Electronic Arts is one company still asking that question, though, and not necessarily for the reason you'd expect. EA Sports boss Andrew Wilson says that one reason none of its next-gen sports games are coming to PC is because Microsoft and Sony's new game consoles are actually more powerful than many PCs in a very specific, subtle way: "How the CPU, GPU, and RAM work together in concert," Wilson told Polygon.

That might sound suspiciously vague, but we spoke to AMD and it's actually true. The AMD chips inside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One take advantage of something called Heterogeneous Unified Memory Access (HUMA), "Good for gaming, good for AMD"which allows both the CPU and GPU to share the same memory pool instead of having to copy data from one before the other can use it. Diana likened it to driving to the corner store to pick up some milk, instead of driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles. It's one of AMD's proposed Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) techniques to make the many discrete processors in a system work in tandem to more efficiently share loads.

It's absolute rubbish. Pure marketing dribble.

HUMA does not make consoles more capable than PCs in any way, shape or form.

EA can't be bothered, don't like the PC market ('pirates!'), and don't think the return of releasing a PC version is worth the cost. That's the truth of the matter.

I dont think this event was planned before Gamescom, assume it's been put together after Sony's announcement.

Dont know of length of the show, but i'm definitely expecting a release date !

Not having a go, but you seem more inclined to believe the rumour that the Xbox One doesn't have hUMA, than the people who say it does. Any particular reason?

Only really because of the way i understood the internals of the Xb1 to be working and what's required to have hUMA, as I said before I could be wrong but the way i interpreted what hUMA does and the memory setup make it seem like it can't have it.

Also that 'Confirmed XB1 Dev' account on Reddit is suspicious, the fact they said they haven't even heard of hUDA is strange, you would expect a developer to have heard of it, especially considering they are working with AMD hardware. It could just be a PR account.
