Credit card being a douch!

My MasterCard has been being a douche recently too.
Turns out I reached the limit :o

This is why Amex>all

Not really, if you hold an Amex Chargecard then the likelyhood is any request to your Mastercard provider about a new limit will met with 'certainly sir' anyway. Besides, 'No prescribed limit' on Amex doesn't mean you can pop off and order a lear jet no questions asked either.

i pay it over 3 months whilst i agree with you all (its a frigging rip!) Im doing it this way to help my credit score. I started with 500 on it paid it off in good time they upped it to 1000, planned on maxing it out then paying it off over 3month then not using it again untill an emergancy. Aparently its a good way to 'fix' your credit rating.

Yeah, you'd like to think that, until you need a mortgage or any kind of serious credit and they take a look at the lenders on your credit report.

You have company's like Vanquis, Aqua, Capital One progress etc, or any of them shonky payday lender companies listed and you'll be waiting until they drop off your report (6 years after the account is settled) before you're considered creditworthy by most providers so you're pretty much only ever going to get high interest credit for the forseeable future.

Lenders don't see the names of other lenders when they access your credit report, they just see the type of account. The only way they would be able to tell the difference between a subprime card and a prime card would be the limit, but this isn't foolproof.

Payday loans are listed as a different type of account which will quite rightly make lenders run a mile though.

i cant believe on a card like that you are not paying off in full every month! the interest is horrendous..money down the pan

ive never had one of these cards but surely the point is to pay off every month to try to show you are responsible?

i personally didnt apply for an AMEX as where i buy my large purchases from never accept them
i have a BT card, a cash back and joint cc, i find the 1% amazon/play cards most useful

I rarely get a CC transaction through OCUK without problems. Latest saga was my normal credit card which I use was declined (I have ordered plenty off this card). I have a pre-pay one as well which still had holiday money on it so loaded that up with cash, it got declined as well. Couldn't call them as they weren't open on weekends (wtf!?). Then I tried my original card for a 2nd time and it worked. Then I had to take the money I loaded on the prepay out of a cash machine and pay it back into my account (minus fees) to pay off the cc that finally got accepted. Fun times!

Peut-être il devrait retourner à l'école ? Le français est une grande langue pour apprendre surtout à jurer avec. Je ne suis pas coulant mais je sais un peu. C'est seulement la grammaire et quelques mots je suis confondu de temps en temps.

:D

ps. apologises to any French speaking pros here I'm still learning.

Wow, I basically understood that, I'm pleasantly surprised.

I have three credit cards and have never paid a single penny of interest on any of them. I have however made a good few hundred pounds in vouchers/points e.t.c

Got to love credit cards :D. Getting given money/rewards for spending money with ~50 days interest free.

:D J'y vais mieux. Je fais toujours des erreurs connaissantes l'orthographe mais il est vraiment tout à fait amusant pour apprendre. Cela a dit que je finis utiliser le fait de parler et le fait d'écrire le français ici à Bruxelles.

En arrière à l'anglais

Ok I will stop speaking french now :p
