Haha, loaded up blops2, got the patch, loaded up the game. Played 3 games and quit. It's the same as usual - nothing has changed. This games legacy will be that it had potential but it was ruined by the matchmaking. They really need to build up their own ip locale database, so it asks the user when they first login what their location is and match make based on a pool of tagged ips.
People harp on about dedicated servers being the answer, but there's still going to be the following issues:
1. Latency between you and the dedicated server, so you will still see lag and there will still be hit detection issues, bs deaths, deaths around corners and the like, but it maybe less often.
2. Because the cod community is spread out, they are unlikely to open a server in every country that plays, so people will be lumped into a group, some will have advantages over others.
3. No more host advantage, but servers will be vulnerable to leet kiddies, ddos botnets, etc.
Bf3, counterstrike, UT and the like still suffered issues and were not perfect by any means.
