Judging by the changes they're making to the FUT13 webapp (and the several full days of maintenance), it looks like the FUT14 webapp will be an evolution of the current webapp rather than a whole new branch like it was last year.


Hopefully that means none of the exploits that reared their ugly heads last year will be present this year....

Yes, but I believe the Xbox One and Xbox 360 will share the same marketplace, just like the PS3 and PS4 will. If that's the case, it could well mean there are still more Xbox users in total than Playstation users.
 
BREAKING NEWS:

You know when you score a goal, and kick off, that graphic at the bottom of the screen pops up and blocks half the screen? Well, they removed that.
 
Its going to be strange not having to use a button for skills, apparently the right stick is pretty much the skill stick now, no long ball tap ons it seems!
 
Which idiot uses r stick for kicking the ball further than you need to? (heel flicks more fun :p) I presume it will auto-ball tap for first touch though? I think not having to use L2 might see me pick this up :)

Some idiots do, sadly, they'll get a pacey wiger, tap or tap & hold RS > or < he hoofs it, rus away from your defender faster as he has no dribbling to worry about, happens WAY too much!
 
I hope it means skills become more useful as the biggest issue Ive found is ensuring you dont push it forward accidently when trying to do a trick - taking it out might mean more people actually find tricking more dependable...

Have we actually seen any proper next gen footage yet (like an actual game) ?

Im going to bet that the next gen version is nothing more than a higher res version of the 360/ps3 and probably wont be any different to the pc version, no matter what they say.
 
Just seen a feature that I fell in love with on pes 2008 I think. When you scored a goal sometimes there would be a cut scene of your fans going mental in the stands and I absolutely loved that, playing against my mates say next to me I used to go mental aswell lol and after that game I never saw it again was gutted the year after didnt have it and ea just posted a vid on Facebook showing crowds going mental when you score a goal. Can't wait :D

Was going to ask the same - doesnt look like it. Bit worrying especially with those rumours how it looks the same as the current gen versions and now the Vita version is literally a roster update...

I guess expect the worse as its EA and be happy when its better than that :)

Well, there's plenty of next gen 14 footage on youtube from the usual youtubers from gamescom's EA VIP lounge (Screen cam in lounge due to no capture card setup, and ea being a bit tighter on it this year) visually it looks great, obviously gameplay wise you can really only tell when it is in your hands, but I'm liking what I am seeing and it is getting much more positive feedback in that community then 13 ever did.
 
Can you provide links at all? The FIFA 14 footage Ive found never really tells you the platform unless its current gen. Doubt we will get in-feed stuff. It does seem they have fixed first touch which is a relief looking at that ****head youtuber...
