i've never had an issue with either controller either, in fact i prefer the playstation one, but the difference is so small it wouldn't make me choose one console over another.

even if it was an issue, theres guides out there to mod controllers to work with either console i believe.
 
I agree that the PS controller is just fine, as is the Xbox.

As for Sony bleeding people dry, well that is the intent of any profit oriented company surely :p
 
Re: controllers. I listen to all the main gaming podcasts (while doing a boring job) and as far as I can remember nobody who's had hands-on experience of both has said anything other than "they're both great".

I'm biased in favour of the PS4's though, because of that touchpad. Watching demos of it being used for text entry gave me hope that it'll be very useful indeed in all sorts of circumstances.

I guess MS will aim to use Kinect for the same kind of thing, but I'm old fashioned... I think Minority Report was rubbish and I like an interface I can touch and feel, rather than waft.

PS As a (mainly) PC Gamer I generally struggle with controllers and am constantly frustrated by the lack of accuracy with the sticks. However I caved in and bought some way-way-overpriced Kontrol Freek extension things. Apart from the fact they must cost 1p to make and tell for a tenner, and need taping in place to ensure they don't pop off, they've made a huge difference to my confidence and accuracy. I still prefer a mouse by about a million miles, but the KF hings make life more tolerable on the console side of the gaming fence.

As someone who used to actually do this, I can tell you it is not easy at all! It will be even harder with the ps4's additional trackpad and speakers.
