Whether its safe or not is a totally different debate and hard to argue at the moment (although I think it's much safer than tobacco) . . . But the thing I do know is that the actual vape cloud can set off smoke alarms, I tried it at home and blew out a vape cloud over it and off it went :D

If you obviously don't blow out a cloud on the smoke alarm directly you could get away with it *maybe* in the toilets but I would not swear to it.

I use a Nemesis mech mod and genesis atomizers so I do kick out a big cloud. :p

;)

Indeed, i suppose i could ask them when checking in..wont hurt but wouldnt surprise me if they dont even know what an e cig is:p.

Meh its only a 7 or so hr flight so i should be ok, ill just probably fall asleep like i normally do.

Unless you fancy a tour of Guantanamo Bay I'd suggest not vaping on a plane, until Airlines see sense (and profit to be made) on ecigs :D

I could never get away with vaping on the plane or any enclosed space. My device is a right smoke machine. So I can't see them allowing it in any public area. Just imagine the fog it would create and the disgust of other not vaping public.

Question is can you vape on the flight, im off to Canada in a few weeks myself so wanted to know if its safe to vape??. Probably not as they will think its smoking when really it isnt...time to stock up on some nicotine gum i guess :/

Wife's family in Vancouver & Edmonton, so I've flown both Air TransAt & BA. Both didn't specifically allow vaping, but no one batted an eyelid when I used my cig-a-like. I minimised the vapour by holding onto the inhale for a few seconds (Stealth Vaping).

LOL well i think if they saw my provari, id probably get arrested for carrying a 'bomb' like device :/:p

Luckily for me my provari at the lowest voltage, 3.0v doesnt put out a lot fo smoke so i suppose i could try and bit of stealth vaping:p

Good tip, could just crank down the voltage on my provari and do some cheeky stealth vaping:p

HELP :)

Just plugged the ego twist from FT in to a wall charger and the unit is flashing Green every 5 seconds
and the light on the battery stays on. Is this normal or?

My order finally arrived from Fasttech today including my SVD :D

What VV/VW settings are others using? (this has a protank 2 on it btw)

Depends really, just try different settings to find out what settings suit you. My provari is only VV but i usually vape at 4volts on a protank, not the protank2 and i like it, get plenty of vapour and a nice little throat hit. It also depends on what type of juices you have as well so trial and error.

But crank it up just to see how much vapour you can produce, at 5v+ i can literally fill my room up with vapour but it doesnt taste very nice and my battery lasts about an hr before i have to replace it with a new charged up battery:p

I think Yas786 has a provari.....

I do indeed

EDIT: i swear leaving GVC in the bottle for a couple of weeks really helps bring out the full flavour of this juice. Highly recommend anyone that is using GVC to let it steep in the bottle for a few weeks if you can. I had some left over my from original 10ml bottle and i let it steep for a couple of weeks, had a few ml's in my protank so didnt bother topping it up...finished it off last night then re-filled with the GVC that was steeping in the bottle and wow just wow. Pure awesome at 4volts, havent even bothered to have lunch yet as its pretty tasty this GVC juice:p...think my lunch is sorted :p

Going to be a good week for vape mail for me this is....

    Bottle Size: 10ml
    Strength: 12mg (Medium)
Kings Custard: as i do like a good custard.
Monkey Jizz: as I've heard good things about it.
Hoping the Apple Pie and Custard will be a GVC/Simons apple tart kinda combo. That would actually be amazing. :D
The other two just sounded interesting so figured I'd give them a go.

I've vaped on planes 4 years now. There is no vapour if you do it right. Inhale it twice and hold for much longer than normal. I would suggest a ego and a carto. I'd suggest taking a much stronger juice than you normally use and use it less. A mostly PG juice will also help cut down on the amount of vapour.

The toilets is the worst place to do it. They have smoke detectors that could be set off vaping in there.

The carto is because the change in air pressure is unlikely to force the juice out of them unlike a tank system.

Security aren't likely to ask what it is as they see them all the time but if they do you only need to tell them the truth (and since you took a cheap ego / carto) if they really have a problem with it just bin it.

As to wattage use I'd start at 6w and work your way up until you are happy. Starting too high can burn the wick and it never tastes as good again. 6-10w is what most people I know use.

Don't Panic!
Happens to us all and certainly nothing to be ashamed of ;)
Take the battery off the charger and remove the USB cable part too.
Give both contact points (on the charging cable and the battery) a thorough clean with either a cotton bud or kitchen paper towel and either cheap vodka, isopropyl alcohol (if you have it) or failing that, hot water.
Over time, especially with leaky attys, the juice can leave a sticky deposit on the head of the charging cable and make electrical contact difficult.
Dry any remaining cleaning fluid off the contacts (more dry kitchen paper and /or earbud )
Reconnect and plug in, the Twist should be screwed on just to the point contact is made. Should now be fine, otherwise unscrew/screw on tighter

Thanks I did that 20 mins ago but great info for others like me :)
Now the charger unit is red and flashies green every 5 seconds but the light on the ego twist has gone out.

Will leave it like this for an hour or so and see what happens.

It is pretty normal for the charger to flash from red to green. When it stays green all the time it will be charged. My usb ego charger normally doesn't start the flashing until the ego battery has been in awhile.

Yeah, my Fasttech.com EGO-T 1100mah (branded Bydtech) occasionally does the same. Nothing to worry about, it charges just fine and continues to perform admirably.
In fact I've just spent the last 9 hours in the Children's Ward (seems we spend much of our lives there recently) and I've been popping into the corridor for a quick puff of Scope's Apple Tart in a recoiled ProTank at 1.8 ohms - got home and it's still going strong.

I had my Vamo in my grab bag, along with spare batteries, juice and the Ego charger, but no need. Wonderful little bit of kit.

I think I've got a dude battery :( The wall charger is still cold so I un-screwed the battery and replaced it
the Ego twist light flashed about 10 times and went off the charger unit is red still with a flash of green light now and then.

The charger is ok with my 900mah ones. I don't know what else to do but bin it.

Will leave it charging for a bit more thanks. Hope all is ok at the Hospital.

Funny you should mention the egos. Last couple of days I've been vaping using my 900mAH ego and a dual coil 2.1Ω iclear16 and i've been really enjoying it. I find that they're a bit strange to hold and use after using the bigger mods but ideal for when out and about. I use one of those usb stick lanyards with the thin loop between the battery and tank and it works superbly.
