JGStonedRaider and AK, sorry was afk at the end! Cheers for coming on and testing the mission, had some good laughs!

Altis certainly should provide lots of awesome gaming when the missions start coming in.

Cheers for hosting it was good fun, looking forward to seeing what other missions you create

I know a few people here are using a similar rig to mine (oc'd i7 and 7970/16gb of ram) what settings are you using and what settings do you have the view distance etc on?

Made a few changes to my mission. It insertion helo *should* wait till all units have disembarked before it flies off and the extraction helo should no longer engage friendlies haha!

Just picked this up, very impressed with this game!
on a mix of High to very high I' getting about 40fps down to around 25 in towns with stuff going on.
Im running a 8350 and a GTX480 with 4gb ram. WOuld I be better off OC my CPU or getting a new GFX card? NOt really sure what holds arma back more. I have 16gb RAM and running at 1680x1050, though looking at getting a 1080p monitor/tv soon.

Hope you can help.

Fish

Both as it needs a lot of CPU power even without any AI on. You can install MSI Afterburner or any other software like that and look for the GPU load.
I saw even around 40% difference between a 3,3GHz and 4,5GHz (2500k) on the old island with some AI fighting. Not sure if it has been improved since then or not.

From other perspective, on the highest view distance it keeps "framing", hanging when I try to look around from a chopper. Probably a SSD is a must if they didn't want to make a 64bit app.

Basically everything maxed apart from post processing and all the blur **** completely off and AA on 4x and 8x isn't needed.

Max gpu temps i get is about 55c, usage is 99% for the most part with odd dips down to 65-70% depending on what's happening on-screen.

Max 55c and your running in ultra? Wow. Is there any chance MSI afterburner isn't totally acccurate?

I'm getting temps of 65-70 on very high. Using a 7970. Case is very well ventilated, lots of fans and a H60. Is there any chance afterburner is being inaccurate? Any better software out there?

I think so pal, Gpuz confirms the same temps etc. Card is a His Ice-q turbo.
I'll Record some footage and upload it now.

70 here on 7970, still frikking hot outside though so nothing special.
just had a lil drive with dave beast on altis, map looks very good i must say and performs well.

55+ on ultra 4x with some dips. Not bad
