Way back in the day, tyres used to have these things inside them called 'tubes'.
Would have sorted that nail right out, but the world moves on.

Sounds like a perfectly plausible repair for tyres on a 500bhp super saloon to me. You just like to throw money away, clearly

My repair works just aswell as a tyre shop taking the tyre off and putting a patch on it, I wasn't making a point on how to save money

I was just about to ask that actually - as dodgy as it sounds, is it any worse than a tyre shop repair? (genuine question, I have no idea!)

Certainly for the OP that puncture is outside of the legally defined repairable window. As for what DannyW says, a nail from the outside is definitely not as secure as a patch from the inside.
